- This RMC (Rocky Mountain Construction) I-Box track conversion of the former GCI (Great Coasters International) Wildcat wooden coaster opened in 2023. It stands 140 feet (42.7m) tall with a 82° drop, reaches top speeds up to 62 mph (100 km/h), and features four inversions - a Step-Up Under Flip, a Zero-G Stall and two Zero-G Rolls.

Craziest thing about Revenge is, at least in the last row, the last three inversions feel so... equalized. Like there aren't noticeable positive G's or hangtime. It's an uncannily smooth motion.
Honestly the wave turns might actually be wilder elements in this case.

it's unbelievable how smooth this ride is. The rolls are somehow perfectly engineered where you don't get knocked around side to side. I think it's mostly the trains. They are literally solid I-Beams with seats and wheels. There's no give, no flex at all to them. I like it better than Iron Gwazi.
As someone who was scared as hell to go on this, GO ON IT. (Its amazing)
Favorite coaster at the park
rode this ride finally for the first time, a total of 6 rides on it and I must say it's not only my favorite ride in the park but it's now my favorite roller coaster period! Out of all the roller coaster's I've ridden it's def my favorite of them ALL!!! I305 at kings dominion was my favorite roller coaster. Now that's not the case wildcats revenge destroyed it! Just goes to show you... you don't have to be the biggest or fastest roller coaster to be the best! I'm so proud of Hershey Park!!! WELL DONE!!

These hybrid coasters are amazing. Old timey wood look but the steel will twist you like nothing else. It's such a great ride in place of one of the worst. Original wildcat beat the snot out of you

Honestly, as a fan of the original Wildcat (I know, i'm different), I love this new RMC edit they did! I forever will remember OG GCI Wildcat though as it was one of my first Wooden coasters i've been on. Honestly top 1 coaster here now at Hershey next to Skyrush.

@@Kyle_The_Mighty I rode the original Wildcat dozens upon dozens of times! Honestly again (I'm very different, I know that's an old GCI but honestly was fun)
Wildcat was a much better ride with the PTC trains it originally had. It ran rougher with them but it also ran faster. It ripped through the layout start to finish and gave respectable airtime. The MF trains tamed it down a bit but I still liked it. I was saddened to hear it was leaving as I wanted it to be fully retracked and maybe have some of the airtime hills reprofiled by GCI being their original coaster. That said, Revenge is fantastic. I agree it's one of the top 2 in the park with my number one being Stormrunner.

It's funny how Kit Kat is the first candy that comes to mind when you think of this coaster. For me, it's Twizzlers. Doesn't that track look like a licorice to you?

Best coaster in the park, and best coaster I have ever been on. This ride blows Skyrush away IMO.

Have you ever been on Steel Vengeance at cedar point? That ride blows this ride out of the water.
@@morganmiller9676 No, but I want to go on it. I hear it is the best. Though I have seen a few people claim they like Wildcat better. By the looks of what I seen on video though, Steel seems to have much more airtime and much longer as well. Some people claim it is rough though. I will have to go on it and judge for myself.
@@user-tr4gc8qu2p I like Fahrenheit second best actually. I would probably put Skyrush 3rd, followed by Stormrunner. Then Candymonium followed by Great Bear.
@JoshMore I prefer this over even launch steel vengeance. RMC has made their rides smoother and better with each iteration by perfecting their craft, steel vengeance has legendary length, but the claim it blows this out of the water is pure derangement. It's not even objective, while it would be unfair to compare a 5+ year coaster to a new one, it's not even that simple, RMC has just got better and better. I actually like white cyclone more than either (Can't remember the name RMC gave it,) that's in Japan though lol

yeah I don't get why it can't be more gentle.
The crazy bunny hill followed by the jerk to the right exaggerates it as well. The ending on this ride is insane.
Just went to Hershey last Saturday and I was not anticipating getting on (not that I have a horrible fear of roller coasters but my god lol) hands down my favorite ride there !

Just got on this on Friday, at night, and no lights. Great ride, but don't do it in the rain 😅 rain drops hurt.
I love rmcs. Rode this last month. I think steel vengance has a better first drop but omg this ride was so much better than i thought it would be.

Went on this 20 minutes ago most fun ride of my life the elements are just so so smooth and it’s just hard to explain.

This is a great homage to a coaster that a lot of us enjoyed as a kid. I got all nostalgic seeing a piece of the old track as I went through the entrance to the line😂. A GREAT coaster that was super intense and a lot of fun! I rode it 3 times that day. 🎉🎉

I went on it today as my 2nd rollercoaster ever (1st that I can remember) and it was crazyyy. Definitely my favorite that I’ve been on
That looks like a fun Coaster. It sort of remind me of "Steel Vengence" At Cedar Point, which is my fav park because it's only a 2 hour drive from where i live and they have plenty of coasters. Plus i always stay for 4 days. I rent a room in their famous hotel called "Breakers Hotel" which is on the out skirts of the park. So it's a 5 min walk to the park, and you can always go to your room for a break to have an adult beverage, or to use a cleaner bathroom. It's expensive to stay there buts it's worth it. You arive, park your car in the hotel parking lot and you don't need youe car until 4 days later when you leave. They also have a great pkg deal which includes a 2 night stay at the Hotel. Man, I love Steel Vengeance at CP! Maverick is another one of my favorites. Cedar Point is my favorite park, but I'm planning on visiting Hershey Park this year. I see they have a good lineup of fun coasters. Can't wait.

My 8 year old son's first upside down rollercoaster! We got to ride it a couple weeks aftwr it first opened and omg...most intense rollercoaster I've ever been on. Such a good time❤❤❤
Really amazing how Hershey Park was available to give new life to a classic (albeit a notoriously rough one 😂) making it one of the best, if not the best attraction in the entire park.
I just rode it, it was a lot of fun!

The train had to wait for the final brake run to clear.
Loading reasons. And besides, I like the vibe that it gives. Reminds me of a wildcat slowing inching up a lift hill

I just rode this for the first time over the weekend and let me just say INSANE! Favorite ride in the park I rode the last row at night and was blown away great job only con is the chain lift should’ve opted for an elevator lift
I wander why is the chainlift so slow for the first few seconds?
since the ride runs 3 trains there’s a block at the end of the chain lift that stops your train from advancing before the third train makes its way into the break run/unload station. Because of this, the chain needs to move slower at the start otherwise your train would reach the top before the last trains gets to the breaks.
wow i never noticed before but the pullout of first drop is so off center of the original track structure. the left half of the track overhangs by like a foot
being a season pass holder i don’t wanna sound bias but this is honestly a top 3 roller coaster I prolly ever rode. Maybe 1.
I am super excited to get back to Hersheypark after 7 or 8 years! It will be like have 3 new coasters essentially- never done Candymonium or Wildcat's Revenge, plus with the seat upgrades to SkyRush, it will hopefully be enjoyable!! 😮🎉

can someone tell me what the benefit of having a wooden support structure is? Better shock absorption?
This was a conversion of the original (1996) Wildcat Wooden Coaster it Hersheypark. The re-using of the wooden structure and many of the footers, while completely re-doing the ride and making it a brand new, world class coaster costs much less than a whole brand new coaster. Essentially, it makes these world class attractions much less expensive to build by re-using the pre-existing wooden structure of an old rough coaster.
RMC conversions still cost about as much as a B&M and Intamin despite reusing a lot of the structure.
@@kumbabgt5067 Where did you find that info? Wildcat's Revenge cost 5.6 Mil, while Candymonium cost 25 Mil.

@@toxiccity97 Yeah. I'm sure at some point in the past, nearly all the wooden boards have been replaced but that part of the maintenance of the original Wildcat and Wildcat's Revenge.

rode this yesterday... every turn and inversion I was like "Oh shit" which was like 99% of the ride.

I'm curious as to why going up the main hill, 2/3 of it is at a snails pace, then on the last 3rd it speeds up considerably? other than that question, it looks like a blast to ride!
The TL;DR is that they do that at the start to give the next train ahead of it time to go from the final break run to the unload station. The point where the chain lift speeds up is the point the next train reaches the unload platform.
it's so much better than a video can show. best ride in hp, in my top three along with Jurassic park velocicoaster and iron gwazi - it's that good!
They use a multimove system with separate load/unload to keep it moving quickly with 3 trains.
One train is in the unload, another is in the brake run. When the unload train moves to the load station, the train in the brakes moves to the unload and the lift train speeds up
I think it’s to increase time for loading, but I like the vibe of it on the ride
it to give the train on the track time to clear both the track and first break section. if the team is on their game, they send the loaded train at about the time train on the course hits the double down and you get a flyover at the bottom of the lift from the final inversion. basically the pre lift and the lift are its own blockzone.

@@nesmanmain0001 I don't think they have 3. I was there with 2 hour wait lines and they were still running 2 trains. There's no mid-course brake so I don't see how having 3 trains would do any good.
@@joeskis Did you ride it this year? They have only run 2 trains so far in 2024. Not sure why, but the lines moves much slower. Three trains is beneficial due to the 4 block zone layout, of which one is a separate unloading platform.
@@nesmanmain0001 yes a couple days ago. I still don't think a 3rd train would increase riders per hour. It's the same issue I noticed with Skyrush. There were always two trains at the end waiting for the train at the station to leave. That 3rd train isn't increasing capacity.

You shouldn't be holding onto the rope. Shoulder bars ruin it by transfering the force into the bars instead of you making it lifeless.

I really don’t like the chin-lift on this ride it starts slow then it gets loud but it’s really good after the chin-lift It my second favorite ride ever
I’m gonna be honest, me, and my friends, all hated this ride. I honestly can’t see why everyone loves it so much. The turns were weirdly sharp, and we all reported neck pain after the ride. I can sort of understand why people love it, but wooden coasters just aren’t for me. Skyrush and Candyimpnium are much more “essential” than this in my opinion. We even enjoyed great bear and Fahrenheit drastically more. However, I’m not here to discourage anyone from trying the coaster. Theres no point of going to a theme park if your not going to rank all the rides. Considering all the people who love this ride, you should definitely check it out.

Ride lightning racer, it’s about 500 feet to the left.
The GCI sucked and it felt slow this is so much better
Trust me this coaster is definitely exhilarating, lightning racer stands still if you need a bumpy old ride
If u like rumbles on a woodie, ride lightning racer or comet, you’ll still get the vibrations
f this travesty you'll never replace what was the original wildcat. the feel of a coaster about to fall apart with the best drops of a wooden coster anywhere to the way it shook and crook as you rode and made thr ride more exciting . and you do this to it. just another generic fast loopy coaster. the old one had class the old one had character. this bull is nothing but a cheap knock off. and the color scheme really is the worst part.
best ride in the park but man can the wave turn piss offf. very overrated element. same with the stalls. please rmc. move to a new element. something like death roll going up and down with pop of airtime. a twisted banana roll. or at least try airtime on a stall.

I’ve been on wildcat but I didn’t like the seating. Can anyone tell me how I was supposed to sit? I couldn’t tell what to hang on to. I could not figure out how I was supposed to sit. Weather to lean forward or not because of the weird lap and knee bar
