    Hey Tony, Thanks for posting this video. I love seeing you and Kindle sitting down chilling and just discussing your experiences. Such a peaceful video with waterfall sounds and jazz music playing in the background. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us.
    By the way, I laughed out loud when you mentioned you almost fainted when the Mexican meal in Dallas cost $50. 😂😂
    Welcome back to Chiang Mai~! 😁👍

    Thanks for the video! We just put our house up for sale and plan to move to Chiang Mai soon! We plan to follow your advice on using google voice when we move. I was wondering what you did for phones when you visited in the states, could you keep your ported number?

      I paid my phone service company here in Thailand a fee to have an international plan for a few weeks. It worked great! 😀

    Thank y'all for this great video. I've just discovered your channel and loving the information. I'll be coming to Thailand later this summer to get some dental work done and see if this is where I want to live my retirement. I'll definitely be checking out Chiang Mai and hope I run into you!

    With help reading the Thai labels on products, did you try using the camera feature on the GOOGLE TRANSLATOR app on your smart phone? You just turn on the camera feature and point the camera at the Thai word and it will show the English translation on the screen.

    • @TheNarrowGate
      @TheNarrowGate  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, we did. The problem is that it cannot read some of the fancy fonts on the label. Another problem was when the words curved on the surface of a bottle. It could not read it.

    The Burning season is very very bad in CM. Only get real bad! I had to leave for 3 months and I was in a year lease in CM and could not get out of it!

    Google maps is my favorite too until it takes me on tiny backroads meant for motorbikes or in the middle of rice fields.😂😂

    How are the bugs and mosquitoes? When I was stationed in Korat in 1972 the mosquitoes, especially at night, were pretty bad! Do the locals still eat the rice bugs?

    How do you deal with the terrible air pollution there in Chiang Mai ?

    • @TheNarrowGate
      @TheNarrowGate  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We have air purifiers in our house. We really did not have any symptoms from the smoky season but that varies from person to person.
