    Good video. That descaler can be a little burny on your skin, so latex gloves might be a good call

    • @IceMachine411

      This is a very good point. Latex gloves will help protect against the burn of descaler.

    • @IceMachine411

      3 ounces is plenty. Most 500 pound machines call for 3 ounces. I use to have all the amounts memorized but I’ve kinda settled on 3 ounces as a minimum for any machine. Just make sure it’s nickel safe!

    I have manitowoc qy0804a that will dump one load of ice aand go into harvest mode. Took it apart and clean it per your directions with descale. Same thing. Dumped a gallon of vinegar in it on the clean cycle and same thing. Any recommendations?

    • @IceMachine411

      Only dropping one batch is sometimes a sign of a bad curtain switch. Manitowoc has a great tech support. 800-247-4520. Try them first.

    Do you have to throw out those first few loads of ice that had sanitizer in it?

    • @IceMachine411

      If you run the entire clean cycle there will not be any sanitizer left in the machine. There’s no need to dump the first batch of ice.

    Quick question if this reaches you. How fast would you say it drops ice?

    • @IceMachine411

      Every model is slightly different. The environment also causes alot of fluctuations in the freeze time. Some where in the 12-20 minutes range seem typical.

      If there's a gap. You can also pour it in the tray at the bottom where the water pump water intake is. It's hard to get the bottle in there tho
