The fridge magnet shaped like a postage stamp at the end of the video is a copy of the actual postage stamp that was released to commemorate the 2022 Snake Island campaign incident. Look it up, you will find the whole story. The "Moskva" (means Moscow) ship shown on that stamp really exploded and sank in the end. Very symbolic.

The Orljonok radio used two NiCD cells, and came with a charger. You had to put the batteries into the charger, there is no charging socket on the radio. The charger was just a series voltage dropper capacitor, surge limiter resistor and a single diode, running on 110/220V mains, without isolation. The battery contacts were hidden enough to be relative safe, but the series dropper capacitor was a wax paper one, which can catch on fire and/or explode...

The pocket one reads german style - orlyonock (little eagle). There are description and schematics from 3 different origins in the net - one from main soviet HAM journal - Radio and from 2 different periodic book series describing soviet home electronic industry products yearly equivalent to SAM Photofacts (the latter are better because they contain BOM, circuit board and coil data). 6П42С (6P42S) - is the tube used in horisontal scan output circuits in soviet tv's in 80-s. It's heated like hell and often desolder itself. There was typical failure in this tv's.

@@shango066 As I can remember, I was a teenager at the time, we never change the tube itself, but at first service engineer has change socket from original plastic, which has decayed from heat, to ceramic one. This ceramic also periodically desolder itself, so then I already restore it many times. This tv model has index "УЛПЦТ(и)" - Unified Tube-Semiconductor Color Tv (when И(E) - colour block with Integrated circuits, we have this one) This generic model uses semiconductors in RF circuits and vertical scan, but tubes in audio amplifier (6П14П), color amplifiers (from color block to crt cathodes, as I can remember) and horisontal scan. Strange and very hot thing.

Nice Lot there, I have a Vaga 404. they use an IC in the output stage which often fails so Ive been told. It was bad in mine so i bodged in a LM386 and it plays very nicely. I also have one of those micro radios, mine is badged Microsonic but otherwise is identical. Hats off to you if you can get it going. regarding the battery it was a little rechargeable cell that came with its own plug in charger which apparently had a habit of catching fire. they also did a MW only version which was even smaller. one appears in an episode of the cult TV show The Prisoner.

It worked with the television's own yoke and sometimes an adapter/extension wires in one unit for the pins. The picture didn't need to be perfect, the vertical and other fine adjustments were done once the chassis was fixed and back in the set.

Legends like that are common in wartime, and usually are made from half truth. Every country did that in the history. For example the MiG-29 of the Ghost of Kyiv cannot have shot down six planes in 2 hours, the MiG didnt carry enough AA missiles. And he must be refuelled. Probably the pilot shoot down two planes, which is still great. For the Snake Island guys, apparently when the soldiers were retuened to Ukraine many family members denied that they were them. The half truth here is the epic "russian warship go F yourself"

@@shango066 I think it is possible to get something like 100W from a pair of these. I think I got about 70W (measured it when I finished my mod, but that was a while ago). The amp originally used 6R3S tubes (those are not very reliable) and the same output transformers fit 6P42S.
Apparently the sweep tubes are very linear and can be used to audio. The 6P45S (a very similar sweep tube) is also similar to the EL509 which is still made I think and used for audio (with an octal base and no anode cap for more convenience).

I can give you such receivers absolutely free of charge. Write the models that you have, so that I would send those that you do not have yet. The only thing is that it will be necessary to wait until this war is over, since I am from Russia and now there are difficulties with sending it to you. And the radio "Vega" was produced near my city.

All radios in leather cases were designated to be sold to commie party elites. And thus they were very desirable by regular people. Orljonok is an export version of Орлёнок for Czechia and Bulgaria. Local version was pretty basic and with white plastic. Nevertheless, those radios were rare. People purchased those only as a gifts to their friends and those were expected to be used during summer vacations. Expected lifetime of those radios was small cause NiCd batteries were rare and lived 20-40 re-charges only (about one season).

The гkrainian sellers are usually very good at packing things , it might be because in Ukraine most things are posted on condition that you pay for the item when you collect it so it is in their interest to make sure it gets to the post office intact . There is no home delivery of parcels usually .
You are lucky to be able to get things from Ukraine ,it is impossible to order things on eBay to be delivered to Ukraine , nobody wants to send here
