Nice angling Mark and nicely rewarded. Did my first session of the season yesterday had one drop off at the net and then had a 16:12 Carp take my ledgered Smelt - not had this happen before but it avoided a total blank!

Four nice fish, but that twenty was a real stunner. I agree that littering has become an issue, too many people these days don't know how to behave in public places and not just on the bank.
Big fan of you Mark! Important question that needs answer: Do you personally think float fishing catching more fish? Why i don't see you ledgering so much? Is that because the water you fish in is not so deep? Really need to know.

I have a pair of extendable hedging sheers that clear a swim in no time and for in the water a reed cutter fixed to a landing net pole. Although I go through loads of reed cutters they are not the greatest quality

I float fish most of the time because I find it more exciting. But I don't fish at any great distances. I tend to leger in shallow water
