I ll never forget that day the biggest game in the clubs history.I remember looking round at half time and people were crying there eyes out I ve never seen so many upset and than pure joy when the final while went.
Half time was horrific.... we all felt that it was done.... we weren't going to make it and at that point in our history it was likely the club was gone too. I wanted to leave.... I didn't want to watch us go... but I did stay and watch the second half ... I say watched I was struggling with ut all. When we scored I just grabbed the person next to me and we were jumping abou and going absolutely nuts.... no idea who they were. I never want to go through the emotions of that day ever again..... it was one if the worst days of my life..... and we got the result we wanted .... Anyone who wasn't there will never understand what it was like...... With us now doing so well... that game will always be the biggest in our history
@lukesmith5878 definitely! It was an expensive day for me and my mates We hired a Renault espace that day because 9 of us went up it was quiet warm so on the way back we had the genius idea of driving with the sliding door open. The breaks got slammed on the door shut and the window fell out! It was like something from onlh fools and horses.😂 my mate who hired it didn't take any insurance out on it so it cost us 800 also loads of a blim burns and beer got spilit everywhere! I also remember in the town near the tescos there was a pub and it all kicked off inside! Crazy day I started going just after we lost to Notts County so just saw the club decline. My son who's been going for ten years now has just seen us go up and up! I did manage to get to Marseille away last season which for the likes of ourselves just seems ridiculous now!
27 years on. None of our recent memories would’ve been without Robbie reinelt
