Are these AirMaid systems effective for cleaning extra-heavy-duty exhaust from solid-fuel commercial cooking applications? If so, is there other equipment required to be part of the design, such as filters, when the exhaust air is discharging through the side of a building in a densely populated area?
To my knowledge, you can use with solid fuel systems. Note, this will not reduce the smoke, only grease and odor. The grease hood can filter and you could use a scrubber though they are expensive. We have also used an Electro Static Precipitator (ESP) by Purified Air. This will remove smoke, odor, and grease. Comes with a little more maintenance as it catches grease. Talk to your local reps about options.
