I have loved this recording ever since a local radio DJ announced it as "Dennis Horn, playing a Mozart brain concerto".

He is so clean and understated. Remarkable. Who knew the horn could be played this beautifully?
Many of us knew. For 4 decades at least. He's considered the greatest.

Sublime couleur sonore, unique et inoubliable! celle que nous donne D. Brain, dans les concerto pour cor de Mozart... Voix chaude de ce cor qui nous emmène vers des sphères rêveuses, inespérées... Il faut dire que Karajan est là, pour diriger ces petits bijoux, écrits et livrés en dérision pour le fromager corniste Leitgeb, par Wolfgang pour le taquiner amicalement!

Admiratif de l'école anglaise ancienne je vous conseille les 'Laudes Deo' de Christopher Tye par Jordi Savall une Merveille de méditation et prière musicale...

Elvis is the Dennis of singers, I should say. Even though I'm not really an Elvis fan. But I think he's in Heaven too, despite his ignominious end. Sad.

This brilliant French Hornist and possibly the best all time died in a car accident., here is the information from wiki pedia --> He had driven his Triumph TR2 sports car off the road and into a tree on the A1 road opposite the north gate of the De Havilland Aircraft factory at Hatfield
what a loss... I can only imagine what he would have done beyond the ripe old age of 36 (kind of line Mozart). So sad. I heard some of my older horn playing friends that he showed interest in conducting. Without a doubt, the most musical horn player I've ever heard!!
