Should we react to the best of Metallica as we count down to the new album? Lulu's Fantasy Show: linktr.ee/cluelesslulu John X Lulu Wicked Fun: linktr.ee/johnxlulu
I have been a fan of Metallica since I was 6 years old in 1988 This band is so dear to my heart, but I seriously can’t wait for this new album in April. LONG LIVE METALLICA 🤘🏻🤘🏻🔥🔥
I am sixty. Was privileged to be at the 89 show in seattle. I have followed these guys to a total of 17 shows over their career. Even when they released st. anger I continued being a fan. I was gifted a back stage pass to a show on their hard wired tour. Got to have a three minute convo with kirk, asked about the fans who have left because QUOTE they just aren't like they were back in the day. "You do a career for forty years and see if it's exactly the same after forty in" right on kirk! Will be a fan of metallica if they sing ol' Macdonald had a farm.
I totally understand that, but it's about chemistry, too. They'll never be what they were with Cliff. He's gone, and they've had to go on without him. You can't replace Cliff freakin Burton. Listen to Anesthesia (Pulling Teeth), then try to tell me he's replaceable. You can't. Rob is closer than Jason was, but it's still not the same. It never will be. I'm happy they still used what Cliff wrote on puppets and justice. I still love Metallica, but they'll never be METALLICA again, imo They were the 1st hard rock I heard. It was Blackened, cos I'd cut grass and got the Justice album. As soon as I heard Hit the Lights 1st time, I knew that wasn't same band. Found out I was right and learned everything about Metallica at that time. 1st thing I learned on guitar was intro to Sanitarium (Welcome Home). Love other bands but, Tool and Metallica are special
Then listen to Metallica four years love them I know you two used to do a lot of Courtney Hadwin songs and videos just released a new song first in 3 years because the contract trouble it's called breakable the song and video just came out the must-see in here thank you
Cliff Burton died. But, Metallica will not. They'll never be the same band they were with Cliff Burton on bass but, Rob is a lot closer to it than Jason was, imo. I highly suggest you hear Anesthesia (Pulling Teeth) from their 1st album, Kill Em All. And it bleeds into next song, Whiplash, seamlessly
Man, they slowed down waaaaaay much. Listened to all of their albums except this one so far. Honestly, the last album I liked that they released was the black album. From Load on, I just can't stand their stuff. Gave it a shot, but to me it's unlistenable. I think I'll stick with Megadeth now. I'll still listen to Metallicas old stuff, but nothing from Load or after. That's when they became Artists Formerly Known As Metallica.
For the old songs like Master of Puppets checkout Liliac live at Mad Life there version is faster than original they also feat Aidan Fisher from Stranger things
@@waynefinnicumbb7218 Yes the lead singer is a big fan and Wendy Dio asked them to do The Last in line for Cancer fundraiser and she has done seversl songs with Vinny Appice Dios former drummer.
