Horror games that inspired Nightmare of Decay as far as I have seen: Resident Evil, Silent Hill & Dead Space. The guy that smashed his head against the wall was definetly 100% a referance to Dead Space.

I was once on the cold pizza team until I fixed my issues with re-warmed pizza... dried, chewy bread+crust. Solution: LIGHTLY damp paper towel over my pizza when nuking that slice. Almost as if I just ordered it... almost(eh, close enough). Both is good.😊

Ryan, I understand the cold pizza thing. I usually end up getting a relatively standard pie for myself (old-world pepperoni, mushrooms, olives) and save at least two slices for later. Most of the time, I end up taking a cold slice, frying up an egg on the skillet and putting the fried egg on top of the pizza slice, and eat it normally (it's actually quite good this way for anyone who hasn't tried it)

In the movie, the only way to take out the Beast was with the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch. In every single game where the white bunny appears, he's going to be a monster of a fight.

Think the don't bath after eating is actually don't swim after eating because your blood concentrates near your belly to dehydrate food but also tries to concentrate to the working muscles when swimming. This causes cramps
at a buffet, i personally sneak corndogs into the buffet so others can enjoy them. I hide 6 corndogs in my jacket pockets. it then, is a joy for me to see other patrons of the establishment eat my corndogs thinking they were part of the buffet.
Fun fact the first zombie encounter is from resident evil 1 when you also first see a zombie and the acid for the flesh growth is the exact same puzzle and note from Amnesia The Dark Descent

I like cold & hot pizza. Well not hot, hot pizza is literally the only way you shouldn't eat pizza. Molten stringy cheese, insides that fall out, toppings that fall off, it's no good. The best ways are toasted, nice crisp flaky crust - but the cheese has cooled enough to harden. You've still got rendered oil but it's not swimming in grease. Lukewarm on the top with slightly warm marinara. Easy to sink your teeth into but holds its shape. That's the stuff. Cold pizza is just bomb though. Perfect for breakfast or if you're on the go and somehow is more soothing and easy going. It could also be my imagination but it seems less salty and more creamy. To reiterate: Lukewarm or cold pizza or shutup you don't know what you're talking about and you're a filthy savage.
Love some of the Silent Hill 2 references in this game like the crazy lady at 55:42 with the sweater and knife of one of the characters the MC meets a few times. Now if it really is a reference or not she looks very much like the girl I believe is named Angela, same white sweater and same knife but who knows lol
So many different resident evil games references and mechanics and I'm 13 minutes in. I'm playing re1 again after this. This is going to be one of my top 10 horror games.
