I like that they didn't make the requirement for eating and drinking so tediously often. Eating and drinking are definitely a concern in survival but these games seem to take it to extremes, making it so you have to eat half a cow five times in one day and immediately die if you don't. I'm interested to see if the developers can break out of the Subnautica mold.
Yes, I'm unsure why it's not connected directly to three meals a day and the day/night cycle to be honest. Obviously when you build something in a sci-fi one you're sort of assuming it's nanobots doing it or whatever. Not sure what's going on in Fallout though! :D
Hey Z! I’m both late and early to the party! I played the demo before it was turned off but I didn’t realize till today that the game now has a prologue and I’m so happy to dive back in. Your videos are a gift!
Z1, if you build a Habitat and connect a corridor onto it, you can build the Laser Miner on top of it. It'll mine larger asteroids in the area. It does have some storage, but you'll need to empty it frequently and move it to storage inside your habitat. You'll probably find a LOT of Coal coming from it, so, once you get the Laser Miner built, don't bother collecting Coal unless you have an immediate need for it. The Laser Miner will keep you supplied with Iron and Copper, too, but probably won't produce much Silver, Ice, or other rarer minerals... EDIT: One of the other Channels that I follow has a playthrough posted. I'm not certain if it's the prologue or an early version of the full game. I *DO* know that there are boundaries that he cannot cross...
A lot of survival games have a similar feel to them, eating and drinking is an essential staple to many games. But it's nice that this game pulls away from the food and drink heavy grind. Also this game has a familiar feel to it. the game Remains, was simular for gathering materials needed to construct bigger and better equipment.
Huge fan of Subnautica and Planet Crafter, looking forward to checking this out. Might hold off until full release though. Don't want to play it too much in EA and then not be motivated when 1.0 is released.
Honestly the constant jump cuts, especially so early in the game make my eyes go funny! 🤣I get that you're trying to make it less boring but that's mostly your voice and often you are in games about to show where you are or what you're doing then you jump cut forward and anyone who was hoping to learn something just misses that. Still very good content and you got me into Planet Crafter but maybe something that could be better.
Ive had so many games i got in early access get released half finished or canceled i am not sure weather to risk it. kerbal space program 2 was a real shock. Witch is a shame as some small games need the support.

in the first demo there was some small nuggets of silver, gold, nickle and other materials attached to the bigger asteroid early game.

Breathedge was good until it just became a linear story. Start was great, middle and end were a bit of a let down for me
