I have a question =/ I stopped using flow aid, because I couldn't re-activate my gouache anymore. Now I'm wondering if I used one that shouldn't be used with watercolours...? I thought "well, it doesn't react weirdly, so I guess it is fine". Maybe I should try and get the liquitex one then
I haven't had any issues with Liquitex's flow aid, and it's the only one I've used thus far... Does it refuse to reactivate with anything, or is it just with the flow aid mix? If it reactivates with plain water, you can definitely use regular water and then add in a bit of the flow aid. I do find you can dilute flow aid a lot more than it recommends and still get great results with water-based paints.
Thank you for the video! How do you store your ceramic palette? I worry about dust etc getting in, but also mould growing if no airflow so wondering what has worked for you?
I just keep mine on a shelf! It sits on top of a box of other paints so there's a good inch or two of air flow around it, but not much room for dust to settle on it. No problems so far.
It actually wasn't too bad! Fortunately, I had friends looking out for me, so even though Karsh is a discontinued and sought-after sculpt, they helped me get both heads easily.
Karsh is such a cute face sculpt. Can't wait to see this final product.
So informative ! Thanks
This is just what I needed!

@@LomisPlayground thank you! Super helpful can't wait to give my gouache another try. So to be clear you don't have a lid of any sort over the top?
@@alanamailey6872 Right! Just an open ceramic palette.
Was it hard choosing and getting the head sculpts for kid Vahn?

What brand of gouache paint are you using?
I use Arteza and Holbein!
