It isn’t the same situation though. Vader was the Jedi’s creation. None of what he had done was Luke’s fault bc he had nothing to do with Vader’s fall. Kylo was luke’s creation and responsibility though. Luke foresaw his turn and knew that the death and destruction Ben would cause would be his fault alone. That’s why he briefly considered killing Ben (but he never would’ve actually done it as he says). And don’t forget he almost kills Vader anyway even after the events described in this video

@@JahanMisraexcept he doesn’t kill Vader because he is a true Jedi and realizes he can switch his father. The fact that he can’t change kylo a young man is absolutely stupid and terrible writing. That’s why last Jedi is so hated because it’s alien to Lukes character.

The reason Luke is such a powerful Jedi, is that he is fueled by empathy and love. It’s that love that allows him to even use some force abilities which would be deemed as exclusively dark by many, but doing them out of love changes the very nature of them.
He turns dark to light within himself, his family, and the very galaxy.

Luke and Obi Wan would have strikingly different vantage points. Kenobi saw all of Anakin’s pettiness, arrogance, ego, and jealousy that led him to the dark side. His decision on Mustafar was correct: Trust in the Force. Luke came into the relationship without fully grasping the flaws of his father, so it was easier for him to see the good.

Luke’s ability to relate to Obi Won in the moment he left Vader to die, but still have pity/sympathy for what his father had become is probably the most important aspect of his capacity to redeem Vader.
Knowing that his son still had love for him after everything he had done gave Anakin the impetus he needed to turn on Palpatine before the end.

Man it's stuff like this that makes the sequel trilogy no sense at all especially Luke's attitude towards everything, Luke didn't give up or fall even when Caedus killed mara Jade...Luke still refuses to kill his own nephew who just killed Luke's own wife and aunty of Caedus himself....I couldn't do that.😢 My nephew kills my wife....I fear what I would do to my nephew...Luke's definitely a light of hope forever

Luke is truly an amazing character. The fulfillment of what Anakin was supposed to be. He did what Yoda and Ben could not do. Then Disney went and shit all over his character and legacy and for that I will never watch anything disney makes under the " disney star wars" banner. Star wars will live on in this channel and other true fans who make fan fiction films.

Luke acted how the force would have wanted him to it's not a matter of deserved because when it comes down to it no one deserves anything. The thought of deserving something is just that a thought made up by us living beings a hope that we will get something for every action we perform or don't perform.

@@joshkrause2977 He was at first but was later manipulated by Palpatine to go down the wrong path he was to bring balance and have balance of the light and dark within him. But he was lead a stray and to far down the darkside to do things he shouldn't have and that the force didn't and wouldn't want to happen. As for a force ghost anyone can learn to be one but not all will make it through the trials of the path to becoming one and in Anakin's case he most likely would have been one weather he learned about it or not sense he was the choose one and the most power being with the force to date with only his son Luke rivaling him. The only thing that kept Vader from reaching his full power wasn't his injuries but the conflict within him, if he had gotten through it Palpatine would have been but a flee to him.

I always liked how Luke handled pulling his father back to the light. As Vader escorted Luke to Palpatine, he grabbed his lightsaber and ignited it. Even as an evil lord, you could tell Vader was so proud to see his son wielding a Green saber. Vader came back to the light side right before he died. It was a beautiful moment if you’ve ever watched the original movies. I know they are old and hard to keep up on but so worth the watch. He may have been Darth Vader, but he was born as, and died as Anakin Skywalker.

I think Luke made the right call but should be a little bit more angry at both men, Obi-wan and even Yoda in a way was just dobging the problem which in the long run only made things worse. And Luke should have pity for his own father but should be more willing to hold him accountable for his own action both before and AFTER Mustafar, for the emperor’s willing pawn or to save Padme does not justify his crimes against the galaxy.

Tbh the way Obi Wan left Amakin there was very strange considering the damage Anakin had caused and what he could (did) cause if left alive.
If he waited, made sure he was dead, or saved him then things could have been different but he just walked away.

    • @ericm5315
      @ericm5315 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

Yeah it was Obi's greatest failing imo, by not killing Anakin he indirectly killed millions, maybe billions. I don't think Obi would ever fall to the dark side, it's just not in him to embrace it for anything more than a fleeting second. I think it was just an excuse he created because he really didn't want to kill Anakin and deal with the absolute shame and guilt he'd have to endure after. It was already bad enough that he left him for dead.

I don't know what i think about what he thought. All I'm thinking about is how neither Yoda, nor Kenobi were exactly covering themselves in glory during the final acts of their lives. Both of them egging on Luke to kill his father.🤨 What exactly is The Force's view on patricide?
That look on Yoda's face when Luke asked him wasn't compassionate concern for Luke, it was him thinking "F*CK!! Who told him?! Great, now WTF are we going to do?
Kenobi: he made sure Luke was watching when he let Vader cut through him right when he jumped through the Force glory-hole into the great beyond, or whenever he went. The point was so that Luke would think that Vader killed him. He even smirked right before he did it! A shit eating grin that i might add, that looked not unlike Palpatine's when he was on his back with Windu over him. It was that "I'm going to manipulate this idiot kid," grin. 😏

Striking down an unarmed (literally) opponent is not the Jedi way. Given his actions in Palpatine's office regarding Mace Windu, Anakin surely must have at least respected Obi-Wan's decision to abstain from striking him down. In ROTJ, Luke does the same: he defeats Vader, but will not strike him down because, "I am a Jedi, like my father before me." It is not the Jedi way.

Luke had no reason to question ObiWan. He left Anakins fate up to the force. That's the heart of the true Jedi Way. Not doing just good, but simply obeying the will of the Force. That's why Palpatine was terrified of Quigon. He was the last true Jedi left.

Anakin was angry and hurt over his mother and the Jedi did nothing to bring comfort to him . And palpatine was there building Anakin up and showing him compassion when he needed it .
