A Detailed Update Of The Kampala Flyover Project In 2024

The Kampala Flyover Project is a key infrastructure initiative aimed at easing traffic congestion in Uganda's capital. It was launched in 2018 to address severe bottlenecks in areas like the Clock Tower and Nsambya, which are critical to the city's traffic flow.
Initially planned to take about four years, the project has faced delays due to challenges like land acquisition issues and the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite these setbacks, significant progress has been made, though the completion timeline has been extended.
As of 2024, the first phase is nearing completion, with final touches expected by the end of the year. The project, once fully completed, will significantly improve traffic flow and reduce congestion in Kampala, benefiting both commuters and businesses.
