  • Rongtong, located very close to Siliguri in West Bengal is an ideal place for bird watching. This place is very popular among the weekend travellers too. One can find some exotic bird species here. During our 2 nights and 3 days stay we found Great Indian Hornbill, Black Baza, Collared Falconet, Maroon Oriole, Long tailed Boradbill, Peacocks, Violer Cukcoo, Emerald Cuckoo, Bay Band Cuckoo, Hill Myena, Dollar Bird, Scarlet Minivet, Boobook Owl, Rufous Sibia, Blue fronted Redstart, Greater Necklace Thrush, Green Magpie etc etc.

      The most important factor is the person who takes photo, gadgets are secondary. If you have a good budget choose between Canon or Sony. If the budget is tight you may choose Nikon. All brands are good. I will suggest you mirrorless instead of DSLR

      @@BikramsTravelDiary I'm already buying the rf 100-500mm and the 200-800 is way to big and heavy
      Rf800 f11 is light weight and compact
      That's why I want the rf800f11 tho it has its limitations.

    Great video, next time use a tripod for stable shots because 800 handheld is difficult..

      Yes you are right, however I enjoy shooting handheld and being. Carrying a tripod adds to one more work and load. Also by the time I did set the tripod before, the bird flew away.

      I'm a photographer too and trust me
      Next time use a tripod and you will see the difference
