There are very few bands who can honestly say that they have 4 lead instruments. Warpaint sure does. Calling Stella Mozgawa and Jenny Lindberg the "rhythm section" is the definition of colossal understatement. They are equal portions of the 4 part whole that is the magic of Warpaint.
Realize I'm replying to a two year old comment, but... They're totally a great example of a band that's actually playing together! Add to that that they're not afraid to jam out sections of songs, or jam here, instead of just playing the studio songs more or less 1:1 is also awesome.
I'm nearly 60 years now. We would express ourselves and sounds something like this 40 years ago. These musicians have a tight thing happening. Not virtuosic but what the hell ?
