I fell in love with this movie! I cried and cried at the end! The little boy who played the part of the mother who took her life is an excellent child actor, I mean his tears flowed out with no problem I think that is what had me sitting on my bed boo hooing like a baby!!! I can’t say enough about his love for her! My all time favorite Chinese romance movie!!! I keep watching it 🤣😂😂😂

These early drama series have far better acting qualities than some of the modern-made costume ones. There are great series made later but most have corny acting. Just saying.

This is a terrible drama, so terrible that will wrench your heart: it is about woman abuse. Total emotional, physical, and sexual abuse! The ML is the most terrible one out of all dramas! Supposedly "loves" FL but marries her and another woman on the same day!!! Two weddings on ONE day. Has a wedding night with two wives, first accuses the FL of being unfaithful and leaves her to spend the night with the second wife. Has two sons from two wives. 41 episodes the FL suffers and is tortured by all members of the family and there is no a moment of romance or love! She was accused of doing a lot of evil things and was severely punished and tortured! Just total abuse! 41 episodes! And finally she dies! DIES from torture! And her so called "loving" husband takes their son to her grave saying, "Son, let's go to your mom and tell her that she is innocent." Heart wrenching!
