Thank you for making this. My son has a project at school and he wanted to make one of these.

Watching this. Thinking about my dad. It was an honor to stand by his side at his final breath. I'm going to attempt this and surprise my mom with it.

"As per the instructions on the can." Damn, I miss hanging out with you. You made me laugh two or three times watching this one.

Thank you so much for the inspiration. I just completed one for my Dad's memorial flag.

Thank you! I'm sorry it took so long to respond. Somehow this slipped by me. I really appreciate the view and the comment. I recently made another flag box (just the triangle kind with no medals) for my Great Uncle's flag. It's a great way to display the flag and honor your loved one. Thanks again.

Ok, I have followed your video in producing the shadow box for the Eagle scouts. Now for the lid. I used 3/4' oak for the box. what width did you use for the lid. Then I will put a nice exterior router edge and a rabbit for the glass. What bit did you use for the detail and what size for the glass edge cutout? My wife loves your videos and we are working together on these 12 boxes. Thank you

First of all, thank you so much for being a fan! I'm glad to hear you are both working on these Eagle scout boxes. This project, like most of my projects, was pretty much made up as I went. I don't remember a lot of particulars about it. It seems I used 3/4" for the lid as well, and ripped it to the desired width. As for the detail, I used a beading bit. The rabbit was cut deep enough for the glass to barely be below the surface, and probably about a 1/4" in from the edge. Hope this helps. Thanks again.
