The band's record label website says that Franz Ferdinand directly took both the Josef K sound and image. After FF got world famous they paid tribute in re-releasing older Josef K material. Both bands also from Scotland.
@@kelechi_77I don't think it's fair to say that Interpol and The Strokes can be heard in this masterpiece, Josef K from the beginning didn't want to accommodate himself to the rock movement of the time and his style was neither Post-punk nor Garage , they made New Wave with an enigmatic and hopeful funk. It was a "passing" influence for other bands like Interpol but unfortunately this one is not to my liking. Now you talk about The Strokes and I immediately think that you can't compare Anna Karina with Rossi de Palma.
Josef K's music and influence is very underrated.

I don't know much about Franz Ferdinand. What's the best example of their work?
Take Me Out is their most popular song. Their entire first album is pretty good.
This band pure underrated
If this wasn't on MTV in the US back in the 80s, it should have been.
That's a criminally low amount of comments here
good

I used to know the guitarist in this, Malcolm Ross. Rlly nice guy.
I can’t help think of early new order when I hear this especially the song temptation

Wow I always thought this was a propaganda song! This is fantastic, like Gedge’s older brother :)

I doubt Josef k made it to America but you never know. There's a load of Spanish comments here so maybe
@@stain4704 This is kind of like garage rock revival in the 70s, you can hear Interpol, Franz Ferdinand and the Strokes in this
