I have not watched this movie in a minute & it’s underrated. Can we please get Blackbusters on the following movies: Mo Money The Inkwell The Sixth Man Bamboozled
This movie should've launched a film series maybe even a prequel. Fresh would've set everybody up, took all the money, and still kept his private detective business.
Oh MANMANMAN!!!! This is the movie I've been waiting on Jah/Tone to speak on.... ONE OF THE BEST BLACK UNDERRATED MOVIES OF THE 90s EVER!!! I used to watch this movie all the time (still do) as a kid even had the VHS, GIVE SHAME THE FLOWERS NOW!!! #classic
Actually Tom Cruise has played a villian...Lestat in "Interview With the Vampire", and he played it so good that Anne Rice (the author of the book) publicly apologized b/c she thought he was wrongly casted for the role
Will can't do Nino buuuut if the wardrobe is right he has very little lines Will can be a bad guy. Tom Cruise was a bad guy in Collateral. likable but a bad guy. you both are so vital to this movie review game. much respect to you both.
Wesley Snipes' ability to carry a fight scene and do comedy would have been a better Shame. This one character change would have made this movie a bigger hit across the board. Snipes is a proven black star but has some crossover appeal (Blade trilogy).
Im 35 and this has been my favorite movie of all time since I was 7!!!! Followed by Menace II Society which ironically Jada Pinkett and Charles S. Dutton are in both. And both of them are from my hometown #Baltimore
See here’s my take on Will and Wesley. Will looks mainly menacing enough to be a hero. He has acting chops to play a villain 100%. But his looks comes off as hero-ish. Wesley can play a menacing villain and a hero based off his tone, his built, certain features to where he can do both. Now give a villain role similar Will’s acting as his character in King Richard but more despicable and scoundrel, Will can for sure can pull it off
A low down dirty shame ! Is one of the best movies ever made!!! A classic ! It's my favorite movie.. I've watched that movie so many times ... love that movie
The thing they are missing is that for the most part Shame is played as the straight. Eddie and Martin played lead comic with most other characters being the straight. This is an action film with comedic elements whereas the others are comedic action. movies. One of the hardest things to do is be thread in a film and direct it.
I think the problem with Keenan acting is that he’s too naturally funny for the dramatic parts. At least at point in his career. But he was trying to pull back and not be too funny.
Had to watch this movie last night, still one my favorites. Ya'll killed the analysis on this. Mikey Rouke I'm thinking could have played the Mendosa's role.
6:55 I gotta push back on ya here. As a huge Salli Richardson fan, she did cross over for all the nerds out here. She had many seasons as one of the leads on "Eureka" on SyFy. So she was getting that food long money from the nerds sector way before Marvel made it popular.
I got low down on DVD, I love this movie. It's nothing wrong with it. It would been funnier with somebody else as the male lead but I didn't mind kenan cus Jada was hilarious.
One of my favorite films! Shame/Will Smith Peaches/Jada, Regina King Mendoza/Leon, Lawrence Fishburne Angela/Salli Richardson, Vanessa Williams, Roselyn Sanchez Sunny Rothmiller/Michael Beach Don't know anyone that could have played Wayman any better. Great review!
Bruh I just watched this movie the other day, I’ma 90s baby & this one of my favorite movies man 😭 “Shame Shame ‼️ don’t touch me in my silk drawls, don’t love me like you do” 😂😂😂
Wesley came along at a time where the only action stars were him Steven seagal and Van Damme... At the time that Wesley came martial arts were limited in America
Apparently according to Will Smiths ex PR assistant Jada's role was meant to go to J Lo but Jada did what she needed to do to get that role, I'll let you read between the lines on that one
I love this movie and I agree with you guy’s intake. With Will Smith being a villain , go watch Suicide Squad. I think that was the closest role as him being a villain but I would love to see him in that type of role the entire movie. ❤😊
23:26 🤔 after tone mentioned the things peaches was saying... It just dawned on me that Tupac and Lisa left eye Lopez would have really made a great tag duo in an action film similar to this but more serious considering those was two rappers you could believe they'd do that shit and get it done! Now would the acting be better idk pac had skills in theater 🎭 and I think left eye was a serious woman who could project herself in a multitude of manner
I hope y’all do “blindspotting” one day!!! That movie is dope it’s a Cali movie “Oakland” even though it’s got some white characters I hope y’all do that one day because it’s definitely some good messages in there 👌🏾
might have been hard to do because he usually only starin in his own movies but tarantino coulda been a perfect cross over villain and maybe if anybody coulda got him to star in a female like this if keenan wanted i think he mighta managed it
Before the entanglement no he couldn't do the bad guy but after that red table talk I he has enough anger to draw from and people know I think he would do good in a bad guy roll.
Salli Richardson is Killin it as a director for HBO!!
And still aging beautifully! Dime+ all day!!!
She’s an amazing director!!!
@@tt1089 facts. Pissed they tossed out The Lakers HBO series.
I wish hbo respected the shows they produce nd the actors for it
I have not watched this movie in a minute & it’s underrated. Can we please get Blackbusters on the following movies:
Mo Money
The Inkwell
The Sixth Man
Bamboozled
Mo Money!!!!!!!
Nah, I be saying the silk drawers line all the time. "Leave me alone. Stop tugging at my silk drawers. Don't love me like you do!"
This movie is so underrated! I appreciate you both for reviewing it. Best Wayans movie in my humble opinion.
Between this and Major Payne
"Coffee is good with cream, but better when it's black"
😂😂😂
“HEY! Luis said the white man can kiss his ass” My favorite part 😂
I loved Jada and Salli in this. I couldn’t choose 🥰
Salli all day lol
This movie should've launched a film series maybe even a prequel. Fresh would've set everybody up, took all the money, and still kept his private detective business.
Jada did her thing in this role
Facts
💯

Tom Cruise also played the Villain in the satire comedy " Tropical Thunder "
Will can't do Nino buuuut if the wardrobe is right he has very little lines Will can be a bad guy. Tom Cruise was a bad guy in Collateral. likable but a bad guy. you both are so vital to this movie review game. much respect to you both.
52:12 😂😂😂 he was singing that den the dogs bit hym up lol
YES !!! FINALLY !!! A classic among the great of Black Films I can't wait to hear my bother Tony Price's assessment on this film
Wesley Snipes' ability to carry a fight scene and do comedy would have been a better Shame. This one character change would have made this movie a bigger hit across the board. Snipes is a proven black star but has some crossover appeal (Blade trilogy).
You gotta remember also that salli Richardson played Elisa Maza in Gargoyles.
Next episode i recommend “Trippin” (1999) starring the Cosby Kid Deon Richmond aka Bud
Im 35 and this has been my favorite movie of all time since I was 7!!!! Followed by Menace II Society which ironically Jada Pinkett and Charles S. Dutton are in both. And both of them are from my hometown #Baltimore

The way I have been waiting for this movie to get some love!!!!! Finally!!!
A low down dirty shame ! Is one of the best movies ever made!!! A classic ! It's my favorite movie.. I've watched that movie so many times ... love that movie
Good movie for sure
It's so sad that the actor who played Wayman died of pneumonia a month before the release
The thing they are missing is that for the most part Shame is played as the straight. Eddie and Martin played lead comic with most other characters being the straight. This is an action film with comedic elements whereas the others are comedic action. movies. One of the hardest things to do is be thread in a film and direct it.
Why do we have to crossover!! It was a great movie. Kennan did a great great job. 😮 This is my first time disagreeing
Gotta tune asap. One of my favorite movies from the 90s
I think Will can play an antihero, but not a complete villain.
There was Suicide Squad and Hancock where he was that. Good analogy
This is a 4 BUT for the fact that he wrote produced directed and starred in his own movie makes it a 5. This is a classic
Dedicated to the memory of Def Jam comic Corwin Hawkins
Trailblazer. Every gay guy on film is a poor imitation of Wayman.
Been waiting on this Blackbuster episode from the start of Blackbusters.
This movie is FIRE!!!
I think the problem with Keenan acting is that he’s too naturally funny for the dramatic parts. At least at point in his career. But he was trying to pull back and not be too funny.
Yes yes I’m so ready for this one!
Pac took Salli from Snoop 😂😂😂
Will Smuth briefly played Lucifer in a movie called "Winter's Tale".... I like his portrayal of lucifer
Had to watch this movie last night, still one my favorites. Ya'll killed the analysis on this. Mikey Rouke I'm thinking could have played the Mendosa's role.
Tom Cruise would have be a perfect crossover villain. And Wesley Snipes as Shame.
6:55 I gotta push back on ya here. As a huge Salli Richardson fan, she did cross over for all the nerds out here. She had many seasons as one of the leads on "Eureka" on SyFy. So she was getting that food long money from the nerds sector way before Marvel made it popular.
She also did the voice for the female cop on Gargoyles
@@terrencenelson3743 Eliza, till this day one of the greatest cast of voice actors for one show.
Salli Richardson is so underrated. The beauty is unmatched.
This movie was great…classic! Totally disagree Keenan was perfect for the shame role…man yall were hard on this movie😂…big ups to the podcast
I got low down on DVD, I love this movie. It's nothing wrong with it. It would been funnier with somebody else as the male lead but I didn't mind kenan cus Jada was hilarious.
The Hospital scene with Wayman & Shame was Hilarious 😂
One of my favorite films! Shame/Will Smith
Peaches/Jada, Regina King
Mendoza/Leon, Lawrence Fishburne
Angela/Salli Richardson, Vanessa Williams, Roselyn Sanchez
Sunny Rothmiller/Michael Beach
Don't know anyone that could have played Wayman any better. Great review!
Great great takes gentlemen.
Will is/was supposed to be playing Nicky Barnes. Not exactly a bad guy, but a drug dealer. I think he can pull it off.
Sally Richardson was great in Eureka as well.
Tom Cruise was a great villain in interview with a vampire
I found my people! Seven pounds is a criminally underrated movie.
Bros, this is my over all 1 seed. My favorite movie, hands down. I couldn’t click this fast enough
Jada's best character was Sloane in Bamboozled for sure.
Bruh I just watched this movie the other day, I’ma 90s baby & this one of my favorite movies man 😭 “Shame Shame ‼️ don’t touch me in my silk drawls, don’t love me like you do” 😂😂😂
I need to see all 4 Wayne's brothers in one movie together instant classic
You was cruising in your sleep last night and started…. Speeding
Always been my knock against Will. He could never play the villain.
Jamie Foxx could have portrayed Shame as well though Jamie Wasn't a Lead Man at that time ⏸
Big Jah & Tone gotta do Queen & Slim next
This my mom favorite movie
He definitely should have casted his brother Damon for the lead role
Jah slept on Tone's Nic Cage suggestion for Mendoza. That would be the EXACT casting to get great crossover appeal
Wesley came along at a time where the only action stars were him Steven seagal and Van Damme... At the time that Wesley came martial arts were limited in America
Wow nice job one of my unsung favorites
Good Morning SHAME is my fav part of the movie 😂😂😂 want some sausages?
🤣🤣🤣
Uhh the elephant in the room. No one and I mean No one would have believed Keyna could have beaten Westly Snipes in a Movie fight.
Y'all should check out "Most Wanted" with Keenen ivory Wayans
Low down dirty tone
Lou Diamond Phillips would have been a good Mendoza💯
Tom cruise was a great villain in interview with a vampire
Apparently according to Will Smiths ex PR assistant Jada's role was meant to go to J Lo but Jada did what she needed to do to get that role, I'll let you read between the lines on that one
Tom Cruise played the villain in 'Interview With A Vampire '
Keenan Ivory Wayans is definitely underrated in Hollywood
I love this movie and I agree with you guy’s intake. With Will Smith being a villain , go watch Suicide Squad. I think that was the closest role as him being a villain but I would love to see him in that type of role the entire movie. ❤😊
I know this will be a fan favorite
Been asking for this forever !!!!!!!
Finally. I hate i missed initial upload. I love this movie. I hate he called it "female" but really he right. ❤❤❤
Between that line and her outfit in Posse 👌🏿
So sad Wayman passed away before he could see himself in the movie
As much as this Movie is beloved, it should've been more of a Box Office success.
Also much love for the late Corwin Hawkins (Wayman) ❤❤
Mann. I wish they put up the images of the actors when they show love so i dont gotta pause every 10 minutes to pull up who they talkin bout
Written, Directed and Starring Keenen Ivory Wayans
23:26 🤔 after tone mentioned the things peaches was saying... I know this movie word for word. Me and my sisters favorite
13:47 she destroyed their mystery as a couple
Cuz y'all need to do one for Surviving the Game starring Ice T
Make Charles S the Mendoza role and use Andy Garcia as his role or leave Charles but have Andy as Mendoza
I need ya'll to do Major Payne.
I hope y’all do “blindspotting” one day!!! That movie is dope it’s a Cali movie “Oakland” even though it’s got some white characters I hope y’all do that one day because it’s definitely some good messages in there 👌🏾
Tom Cruz played a Villain in the movie Collateral

@Biggjah Tom Cruise played a villain in Collateral with Jamie Foxx
Speaking of Collateral, do a review on it
Tom Cruise’s villain role is probably Collateral
How do you think it compares to The Last Boy Scout. With his brother
Hope yall review "American Fiction "
This movie opened the door for Sam. jackson to play New 'Shaft".
Jada's turned was Hawthorne and her Rock Band
Will Smith was supposed to play Nicky Barns n a Netflix movie,it fell through for some reason.
been waiting on this one
Damon in bulletproof played the same role as his bro in shane. but bulletproof is better based on the funny element between Damon and Sandler.
Tom Cruise played the villain in Collateral
Before the entanglement no he couldn't do the bad guy but after that red table talk I he has enough anger to draw from and people know I think he would do good in a bad guy roll.
DO NOT diminish Vivica. Fuck all that. Salli could've shined more without us replacing Vivica. That's a whack take.
