Today i was having big issues passing the guard with gi because i’m used to no-gi. This really helps. What i’ll do next class is go for the torreando pass and when they try to shield with the knee i’ll grab the pants and go to the other side
There is the is 17 y/o at my gym. High level blue belt hes no joke. His closed guard and open guard game is stupid good! Can you make a vid with more specifics on these positions! Love ur vids love your jiu jitsu!!
In my guard passes I’m good at passing the legs, but the frames of the arms are where I get stuck giving my opponents opportunity’s to regaurd. How would you deal with that issue?
Pull back from the arm frame with your chest, then shove them out of the way with your chest then fully re apply your weight. Best way to break arm frames is pushing them out of the way instead of trying to crush them.
Amazing. Does anyone know if this will translate to no gi? I think it will, but not sure what to do about the initial pant grip. I am thinking to just grab their ankle because there will be no pant to grab there.
In no gi I would suggest controlling ankles and try to keep the guy centered on hip hips if he is centered he can’t sit up then it’s easier to threaten
@@cheesejkliop I don’t think you do Brazilian jujitsu because if you did do Brazilian jujitsu, you would know there’s always a counter for everything they teach in Brazilian jujitsu and some the different types of fighting styles in Brazilian jujitsu can be very difficult to counter
I hope you get some youtube revenue from these videos; they're really good.
I think they will enable soon!
Outstanding tip, since it's a simple idea that adapts to multiple situations. Thanks!
Thank you for this it really helped my passing game and I did this to a black belt last night he look so amazed 😂
Wow so happy to hear it buddy! The small stuff like this can make a crazy difference

Johnny you’re a friggin’ genius. Wow
Thanks so much buddy!
So helpful
Thank you
the last one looked like you may need to have open the space between opponent's left knee and hip?

Why wouldn’t they just adjust with there hips to reposition to you
⚡️⚡️⚡️
What about no gi
What would cause a system to fail?
Breaking your grip
Them being better than u
Keep calm and distance.. normally rushing will break the system

What about no gi?
This principle wouldn’t apply no gi unfortunately you need to control both ankles more and keep them centered on hips
How do I prevent getting kicked in the face?
Wear a Mouthguard and pray lol
You shouldn't get kicked in the face if you leave enough space with the one grip unless you're sparring with a spazzy white belt

In practice..thisbworksngreat... once you introduce grips and speed.. it rarely works like this
Girl fight
The whold video the guys feet are hovereing around your face and groin. His legs are longer than your arms. Just sayin.
Jiu-jitsu in the gi is so stupid
if you cant follow this simpliest set of open guard pass, take the Gi off and give up.
