The different places indeed show a different stage of development. Cambodia changes significantly in some places and less in others. I hope in a few years I can return for an update.
As walking videos go, Cambodia and Vietnam get little views. It's better being there than watching it. Mass tourism has only hit Thailand where everything works well for tourists. More countries want tourists to come. Vietnam has an excellent infrastructure with their hotels. For cities it's the usual: Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro, New York, Sydney and maybe San Diego or Barcelona. I have stayed week(s) and even months in these cities so I'm biased a bit - being more than a visitor
