  • This is the one that has finished sewing.
This is the chin part. Will be like this
    Here is the nose
    And filter holder
    Chin, nose, filter holder
Let's see how to create patterns.
    Let's create a pattern.
Fold a A4 paper in half.
    Fold half-fold
Measured in by 13 cm. If for men, increase to 15 cm.
Measured down to 17.5 cm. If for men, increase to 20 cm.
We will start drawing on the nose first.
The nose measured down to 4 cm. If for men, increase to 5 cm.
Measured 2.5 cm. If for men, increase to 3 cm.
    Draw lines connecting
Find the center point, draw 0.3 cm
    Draw a curve upwards
    Measured in by 4 cm
    Draw a line like this
    Divided into 4 cm range
Measure the first point out 1.5 cm
Measure from the second point out 2 cm
    Make a line like this.
And draw the curve like this
And this is the nose part that has been completed
Let's continue to do the side and chin.
    Measure out 7.5 cm
Measure this angle by entering 3 cm.If for men, increase to 4 cm.
Draw the connecting line as follows
Measure out 3 cm, If for men, increase to 4 cm.
Measured from the original angle to 3 cm,If for men, increase to 4 cm.
    Draw the connecting line
Measured here is 5 cm away
    Measure up 0.5 cm
    Draw the curve as follows
    Drag up here 0.7 cm
Draw the connecting curve as follows
Measure 1.5 cm in order to be a point for sewing
Already Folded like this to cut
Before cutting I will press the marks first.
When it unfolded, it would look like this.
I'll take a picture before cutting.
Fold the pattern in order to cut
Fold where we measured 1.5 cm straight in
    And cut
Cut out the one we drew into this triangle here as well.
    Will be like this
After we finish cutting the pattern We will continue cutting the fabric.
Place the front of the fabric together like this
And lay down the pattern on the side
    Finished
Then we will make this pattern to cut the salo fabric that is used for attaching the filter.
Which we will measure into 4 cm, measure from here to 4 cm
And then we will lay this pattern over the fabric
    Done
We will have three pieces of fabric in total.
    This one is salo fabirc.
This one is the real fabric.
To sew, we will fold here
    Fold here, then sew.
    And fold this side, sew
And fold this rim and this rim, Sew here.
    This side is the same.
Let's go to see how to sew.
We will use the same 6 inch elastic cord as before.
If wanting to use with a wider face range, can be used as 6.5 inches to 7 inches right away
We will sew the first layer of fabric.
We will fold the inner rim first.
If you like this video clip Don't forget to like
If useful, don't forget to share.
And also friends, please click subscribe So you will not miss any new videos.
    Sew here and then here
When we finish sewing We then turned this side out.
    This will be the chin.
We will take the filter that will be outward like this.
    Use pins.
Bring another piece of fabric, bring this side to the opposite side of this side as follows.
    Put together.
    Pin the pins.
Then the fabric will fit together. Then fold back.
    This side also.
When sewing, we won't sew here.
We will sew from here to here. Repeat here.
The area from here to here, we do not sew And start sewing from here instead.
And we will start sewing here. From here to here, we won't sew. We will start sewing here.
And we will cut here a little bit In order not to brace
When cutting the fabric, be careful not to touch the inside stitches.
Then we will reverse the fabric from the side that we did not sew.
We can sew the edges following this trace. Depending on your preference
We will stuff the elastic strap here about 1 centimeter
    And then repeat here
If we sew along the edges, We sew from here and around. follow this line.
I don't like to sew along the edges. So I will end the sewing with this.
Complete. Thank you for watching the clip of Pa Mi.
    Goodbye.

Best mask I've made since the quarantine started. I stitched a 4" section of 1/2" bias tape across the nose area (top and bottom of the bias tape only), on the outer cloth. Then I slid a pipe cleaner into the pocket, so the mask holds more snugly to my face. My wife didn't need the pipe cleaner to get the mask to fit flush, but I did. Thank you for this amazing pattern.

I think I’m going to put this one onto very sturdy cardboard and laminate it. Maybe it will last me longer that way. I don't know about anyone else; but I used the CC (closed caption) Option and it is all in English and if wishing a better look use the Full Screen (theater) Mode. That said; excellent tutorial and thank you for sharing the pattern as have been making two other types to donate but wanted a pattern that I could 'easily apply' a hand-painted design to, preferably on the center of the mask and it is perfect to do so (without contending with a middle seam and/or pleats). To conclude; keep well!
Footnote: Edit -- I did tweak it slightly so the ear loops can be adjustable (not sewn in) by adding more to its width plus added a pocket channel in the seam allowance for insertion of a wire that can be pinched for contour of the nose.

I want to say I have made this pattern multiple times and can't recommend it enough! It feels very secure and fits my face more than comfortably. I love the fact it's shaped around my chin for a snug fit, its doesn't slip or anything and is very easy to talk with. Bonus is that I like how the front is free of any stitching so you have a nice flat surface to personalize it however you wish and make it unique to the wearer! My one complaint is that if you're a glasses wearer this is *not* the mask for you. The masks rests over your nose perfectly and will obscure the bridge of your glasses, making it somewhat difficult to wear your glasses comfortably. Otherwise this has been my favorite pattern so far, I LOVE my mask! Can't wait to make even more for my friends and loved ones

Thank you for the design, and for the English translation under the video! Do you know that if you turn on the auto-closed-captions, it would allow you to *add* then your English translation as a second closed-caption choice? I'm not sure how to do this, but I think it is an option. The advantage of the English closed-captions is that they will show up *as* we're watching the video, either on the video itself, or if we take the option of seeing the *transcript* , it will show up along along the side of the screen as the video plays.

The pattern download link doesn't work under Soksabai's question. There is a link for the pattern under Olay Foundation's question though!
I'd like to suggest, it would be much easier to cut the pattern if you folded the pattern in half and cut it out on the fold of the fabric. This way, you only cut half the pattern but get both sides cut at the same time.
Bangkok, thank you so very much for your beautiful pattern design directions! I so very much appreciate it

If you want much more people to watch your videos, then you need to activate the CC feature in your video, then Auto-Translate so that people can chose which language to translate what your saying into. The CC feature allows people from "all over the world" to understand you.

    • @bangkok6526

    • @dannichols6261
      @dannichols6261 4 ปีที่แล้ว

@@bangkok6526 The CC (closed caption) feature alone won't auto-translate, but it will create a file which you can download from youtube which would try to caption in *your* language, and since you have now made an English translation, you could then use the time stamps for what you have said in your language to be for the English translation and up load that CC file.

    • @dannichols6261
      @dannichols6261 4 ปีที่แล้ว

@@Sarah-ew2pp Ha ha, well, not really, though I've tried once with a video someone else posted that didn't have closed captions, and I'm sure it can be done by the person who is *making* a youtube video, as there is a kind of 'creation studio' or something like that, which allows checking an option for youtube to make 'computer generated' captions from what the video creator says. And that CC file has 'time stamps' which I suspect can be used to plug in with the English translation they've already made in the Description section, to make an 'optional' CC presentation. But you're right, it's not easy if a person hasn't already done it and is already familiar with the video creation process.
