AMAZING, I am super excited for you,, it is gonna be a CRAZY but GREAT journey for you :) At least you are already making research and preparing yourself which is way more then I did before coming to McGill. Yes I was in a double room. I won't lie it was a bit challenging especially considering the fact that my roommate and I had very different sleeping patterns... I woke up at 6am and her at 2pm so I had to spend most of my days in the dark and ate my breakfast in the bathroom XD The cleaning schedule was difficult to maintain also and yeah you have no no privacy. I was lucky because come of my friends had it worst and were worst to change Rez in the middle of the year. It is really all about luck and if you get someone you get along with. But it is important to tell yourself that it is just for 1 year and a great opportunity to make friendships that will last for the rest of your life. Stay open to meeting new people, especially during the 2 first weeks where everybody is excited and say hello to everybody (in the cafeteria, in the elevator ....). Go to events organized by New Rez (you will go up Mont Royal during the night on your first day ... a bit scary but go) this is where I met my best friend. Also Discover McGill is a great opportunity to learn about McGill clubs and be part of the year picture :)

Salut ! Felicitation, New Rez is a cool Rez with an awesome cafeteria but be careful of the extra wait we put on during our first year haha ! Yes I was in New Rez, and the room is basically a hotel room. You remember when you used to go on holiday with your family and had to share a hotel room with your parent with those 2 beds next to eachother ... it is literally like that but you each gonna have a bed, a desk a drawer, and 1 mini fridge to share for to. I can try to find some pictures :) Are you in a single or double room ?
there is one little closet for 2, don't count on it to fit all your clothes haha I feel you, I was coming all the way from Tahiti and the storage space is indeed very limited

I'm in a double and I'm a little bit concerned about the storage because as I'm coming from France, I might packa lot of things…. There's no closets ?
