I bought mine new at IV Cycle center in El Centro California when my XR-75 was stolen. They were popular and it was $950 OTD with a free case of Pennzoil 2-Stroke and a Bell Moto Star helmet that was also new to the line-up and very trick! I ran it at 24-1 and used up 23 of the quarts of oil! Riding it 7 days a week as I lived in the middle of the Desert and at 11 years old, riding was ALL I wanted to do! We fell on hard times and my Dad asked to sell it to pay the rent and it was gone for $450. I bought a 76 CR-250 as my next bike though! All I have is the Owners Manual and one rubber sideplate strap.....and an original un opened can of Pennzoil! There was no boost port stock, but it was a common mod back in the day when re-building.

I think the 1975 barrel had a 5th transfer port in the back of the cylinder above the intake port. The 5th or boost port was fed from a hole in the back of the piston. Someone correct me if im wrong.

I don't think that was the case. Yamaha had something like that in the piston, but I don't recall the elsinores with a intake hole. Plus i haven't seen any of the NOS 75 pistons with that configuration from any manufacturer offer it today for the elsinore. Shortning the intake side piston skirt was done to the elsinore though.
