Organic at scale no till operation here, it’s March 4th, my oats, mixed with yellow peas, are in the ground, and I went in and planted yellow peas in my winter wheat. I’m about 1/3 down from the Wisconsin IL border. The seed trench won’t close right away, but the freeze thaw effect will close them for me.
It’s a great way to wick up that moisture that’s coming, I’ve had to ram through snow drifts to do it. It’s also NOT worked, but their is time to get something else planted.
We go through double disc openers like candy doing custom soybean planting, so I throw a set of old ones on that I don’t care about and go at it.
