Wow! I’m so excited I just don’t know where to start this beautiful story.
Last week my daughter Emily asked if we could videotape the song I wrote called “I Love Today”. Emily then posted it on TikTok. A few days later we received a message from songstress Audra McDonald asking if she could sing I Love Today on her tour. Wow!!!
We were so filled with excitement to receive this message from Audra and her musical Director Andy. Without hesitation we said YES!!!
Then, a few days later we receiving an update from Audra that she would be singing I love today for the first time in her Denver concert. The excitement of the moment kept escalating into tears for us.
So….
Emily and I began to think about who we know in Colorado that could possibly go to the concert to video tape.
We called our dear friends Ruth and Bruce Most and asked if they wanted to go to Audra McDonald concert? …..their reply was, actually we bought tickets a month ago and we’re on our way there right now!!! Omg!! It was so magical that they were going to be there!
We texted back and told them the fantastic news that Audra will be singing I Love Today at the Denver Boettcher Concert Hall.
I went to bed that night knowing Audra beautiful voice would be singing I Love Today that I cried tears of joy that lulled me to sleep.
The next morning Emily and I woke up to find a text message from Ruth with this glorious video of Audra.
We both were overwhelmed with joy and gratitude as we watched the beautiful loving spirit of Audra McDonald graciously introduction us and then hearing her gorgeous rendition of I Love Today ❤️ Such a beautiful voice!!!
Our hearts are full because of you Audra for your generous spirit and loving kindness you have given us. Your magic voice in sharing love and hope.

I was at that Denver performance. Audra spoke about your song with such reverence. Of course, her interpretation and voice are magnificent. What a moving song. Truth be told, I couldn’t get enough of Audra that night, so I bought tickets to her show in San Francisco and saw her do it all over again. The song stands. Congratulations.
