I have over 100 Saulosi offspring, mine breed like crazy. Your Saulosi tank was the reason I got back into the hobby after being away for many years. I’m excited to see what you’ll do with them.
Hey I have not seen a great video on the new filter from aquirm cop and not many of the dealers seem to care about putting the to work so you can see them work . Glad you are moving thing around .
Have you ever kept a male peacock alone as a wet pet? In my kitchen I've got my OB boi skittles in my 55 gal soon too be upgraded to a 72 bowfront. I've got a few videos of him on my channel if anybody wants to see how an African cichlid behaves living alone. I also had a female mbuna red zebra named Boonie for about 4 years until she passed. Cool video yo!
Electric Blue Acara question I bought 3 to go in my 125 with an archerfish and 5 Roselines. Put them in a 20 long to quarentine. They paired off, killed the 3rd and bred. Eventually I moved the pair into the 125 and the male became very aggressive to the female to the point she could not leave 1 corner of the tank so I pulled her. She is all alone in my 20 long and he is still being a bully in my 125. Should I get some more and add them all together into the 125, pull him and put in 20 long with her, or is he likely to be a bully no matter what? I really wanted a group in the 125 and she doesn't seem happy alone in the 20 long.
My advice (if you want a group of them) would be to put the male in the 20, put the female back in the 125, and then add like 3-5 more juveniles (after qt) in the 125 with the female. They should all get along. Once the smaller ones have grown out a little, you can try to add the big male back.
@TazawaTanks what is your opinion of aquarium salt for cichlids I just started a tank years ago i used to keep them ut am confused with the salts and if they are needed
@@TazawaTanks thank you so much , I am also learning again becareful where you buy fish from , bought 2 fish from a well known fish store that had a parasidic infection , I am treating the tank now ut I think im going to loose 2 fish that are left. My GF grieves any animal that passes which kills me. I had let the tank run for weeks with live plants tested the water with the master kit till it was perfect as well. Back to the drawing board i am thinking at this point what you think.
any problem with your saulosi offspring when inbreed happen there? Or you keep adding / swap new bloodline. Read the article saying in breeding can cause the offspring having problem ie stunted, short life, deformed

My favorite is Rift Lake Cichlid Salt from Fritz. I have been using it for a few years now.

No issues that I have seen. In all of the studies that I have read, it takes a multitude of generations before this occurs (many, many years).
Great av
I wish I could win some Geophagus. My local shop don’t have any for a long time. On eBay the fry is so expensive. I would like a group of six .
