"Say hello to Leonora" while Franklin does a barrel roll with a mustang was pretty badass
Nah while he drove under the killers exploding vehicle before doing a barrel roll & landing it perfectly into a drift while talking his shit 😂 Franklin the True Detective 🐐 we never knew we needed.
Got it back in blood for Leonora.
yeah that was some shit out of a movie
Kind of implies that he believes either one or the other went somewhere they didn't deserve, but okay.
Bro omg that was so cold 😂😂
@@devinpaul9026 th-cam.com/video/ifaoKZfQpdA/w-d-xo.html
Are we not gonna talk about how this man at 22:08 killed peter, blew up his car, gave a bad ass delivery line, then flipped the car and landed it. Nice drivng man
Bit of lucky timing
@@Fizhy Stick the landing. lol
That was too sick
@@Fizhy fr tho
I truly hope and pray the writing quality of GTA6 improves somewhat. I just can't replay V anymore because even the better story beats are ruined by bits of Rockstar Cringe Dialogue TM.
I find it a little strange that only Franklin, can do this mission and not Michael, when he’s more into movies and the entertainment industry.
Convenient though. Franklin can own the cab company-- free transpo you don't have to engage with. He can alternately take Chop along in case he runs into any hostiles.
However I still think it's bullshit you can't take Chop in the cab AS THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY?!
It’s because the collectables are required for 100% and you can get 100% with any of the other endings so Franklin’s strangers only count for it
Yeah, Michael seems a lot more thematically appropriate since I think he would see a lot of Tracey in Leonora and would easily imagine Dreyfus doing the same to her. Franklin isn’t devoid of apathy or justice but it’s not really a central theme of his character, whereas family is central to Michael. Not even mentioning the fact that both of them got away with their crimes, but obviously Michael is still the more moral character because he didn’t take joy out of what he felt he had to do.
Just a strange choice to have it be possible only with him.
Yeah, it should be Michael. I think it’s Franklin, because he’s the only character that is guaranteed to live at the end of the game.

One thing that Rockstar always gets right is these little missions that most fans will miss but there's always some really dark, twisted stories in the GTA games
Rdr and GTA have these themes. It’s not a supernatural game but the supernatural Elements and just the creepy shit in rockstar games it S tier
@@ZetsuboNoShimadefinitely excited about gta 6 having ghosts like gta v and rdr2, the mysteries are fun.
i wonder if rockstar want make a psychological horror game?
They miss it because it's a collectathon
now i wonder what kind of fucked up shit or supernatural crap that will give me a heart attack we'll see by GTA 6
my only frustration with the Dreyfuss situation is how we can't kill him slower. most of the time, we either just blow up his car or land a headshot, that's just too quick for what he did
Like how we tortured that guy in the Steve Haines mission.
Then on the other hand I don’t think Rockstar would find it a good idea in finding satisfaction by brutally torturing people to death even if they somewhat deserve it. Rockstar games can be very dark sometimes, but I think there’s a line to draw as well.
How do I trigger collecting scraps to this mission?
@@rikamimi7_ Scraps start appearing after the mission Repossession
alright bro you're doing too much now 😭 he's a good villain
There are molotovs
Rockstar did great with incorporating real life stories into the game. The black Dahlia is still one of Hollywood’s greatest mystery. I cannot wait to see what they do with GTA 6 😩
To see some Easter eggs from the state I am from, would be wonderful. You live in a place for so long and you never know all the secrets
@@TheRealSofts You’re from Florida ?
Thiiiiis
Rockstar also did that in their other game, LA Noire.
@@WarmRepeat I Loved LA Noire 😂 literally beat it 20 times. Bully was great as well but my all time favorite is GTA IV till this day. Niko was my first Video Game crush until Arthur Morgan 😩
I love Franklin, even he was horrified by what Dreyfus did to Leonora.
Really shows he cares and is sympathetic
The flip followed by "Say hello to Leonora" was sick
22:09 we not gonna talk about how cool that was. Killed a killer said cool ass one liner and does a barrel roll and lands it
"Who knows how bright her future could've been if that pretty face hadn't been severed from her perfect body..." just when a fictional paragraph sounds plausible, Rockstar ends it with some of that humour they're renowned for.
On a completely unrelated note, I recently watched the 1985 film To Live and Die in LA. Honestly, it was like watching a real-life version of GTA V. Every outside shot reminded me of the game.
The trophy for beating gta 5 is literally named after that movie
also the 1995 Michael Mann movie Heat
@@leonart31 Many of the characters are inspirered from Heat
@@leonart31 Neil McCauley inspirered Michael De Santa, Waingro inspired Trevor Phillips etc. also if you look locations of the movie and the cut scenes of GTA 5 you will find many similarities
There is a mission in GTA IV called To Live And Die In Alderney
The black dahlia in L.a noire is still one of the best game moments rockstar has made
Sad that it's base on a real cold case
Well, Rockstar didn't make L.A. Noire, they just published it. Team Bondi made the game.
One thing that's funny is you can shoot out his tires before confronting him and he'll make note of it before running off on foot.
It makes the chase afterward much easier. But the way you stopped him was significantly more badass.
22:11 absolutely the sickest one liner/kickflip combo I've eger seen. 12/10
It's nice to have something like this not cease to left as an easter egg, but you're actually able to 'solve it' and do something about it.
22:11 Franklin just became the coolest guy in GTA
I can’t help but feel this mystery was kind of underdeveloped. It’s one thing for Niko to interact with Eddie Low only a couple times since he’d never interact with him any other way, but a huge part of Michael’s story in GTA V is being part of Vinewood as Solomon’s Executive Producer. Wouldn’t that have been the perfect place to introduce Dreyfus first as a character? Not a central plot component or anything, but like, one mission wheee you meet him and get the sense that this guy is something of a freak so that seed of suspicion could be planted? Or that you meet the guy behind the website in the game as a Stranger? Hell, make it an ironic twist that the site owner is stalking Dreyfus and Michael has to beat tf out of him as a favour for Solomon. So first time round, we think we’re doing a good thing but after the letter is rebuilt, we see the crazy guy was right all along.
Idk, just _something_ to make it more satisfying when you actually kill this guy so you have some connection to him and not just some rando who is only in one cutscene of the game.
(And also, Michael should have been the one to do it. Justice isn’t really all that important to Franklin but family is central to Michael, and he would doubtless see a lot of Leonora in Tracey.)
It did feel like Franklin killed him as if he was another Assasination Target lol
@@leonart31 idk what that is i dont play gta
I did wonder why they made it a Franklin mission
I really hope we get several more serial killer true crime sidequests in gta 6. I love true crime stuff and Florida is no stranger to murders and weird happenings
final boss will be Florida Man
This is the best video on the Leonora Johnson case, I recently started back playing GTA v and just last week I was looking for a lore video and found nothing only video showing the letter locations. Thank you sir for this video.
And thank YOU, sir for watching!
@@Fizhywhat would be your thoughts if bully, and red dead where connected to GTA just wondering
What system you playing on?
@@brandonamezquita2786 I have it on Xbox X and PC but mainly play on PC
Could be better if Michael comfronts the killer. He's into movies and he has a young daughter who is also trying to be a star like Leonorra.
That could’ve made more sense. Michael would do the same.
Absolutely cannot wait for the GTA VI content when the game finally drops
Right
Wait* I got u
@@charlessmith9753 DAMNIT I THOUGHT I FORGOT SOMETHING
I always like things like the murder Leonora Johnson being put into games like the Grand Theft Auto franchise. Makes the stories and universe a lot more richer. Thank you for the video man, keep up the great work and take care!
Oh yes my favorite types of videos! I love mysteries
Love the ac videos man.
That car flip after destroying Peter's car was sick.
That ending chase/flip w/ Dreyfuss goes unfathomably hard.
I'm glad you're taking a look at these older mysteries. Sure, other creators made videos about this stuff, but that was ten years ago! Love to see it again now.
When I first started this quest, I thought it was going to be more involved. It's still a nice addition to the game, though. This video was excellent - especially the satisfaction of offing Dreyfus
Love your content fizhy keep it up!
You've made some great videos over the years but this one is my new all time favorite keep the GTA lore vids coming 💯
Its been a while since I watched your video and I have to say you got me hooked with this one. 26 minutes went by as an instant and the story is incredible. Though I got pissed about the driving while chasing this maniac, the finale made it so much sweeter.
This might have been one of the few time rockstar included dark and brutal story elements in their games, especially in the GTA franchise. Poor Leonora. 😢
production quality is insane, good shit man
Bro I love your videos like this keep it up 👍
I know it's already been confirmed to be heavily inspired by the Black Dahlia case, but my god does it not send chills whenever I hear it. Seriously, how did they do that to that poor girl and no one noticed her being placed in that park so log ago?
Fun fact, if you shoot the tires of dreyfuss’s car before triggering the mission, he’ll be running away from you and it’ll make things much more easier
Another good one thanks fizhy
Awesome video as always!🤘🤘🤘
Love these videos
Lol how have I never seen that mission before where you kill Dreyfus? 😂
You need all 50 scraps to start it
22:07 this is an insane scene bruh😂 love ur vids
I just find it mind blowing how all these years of playing gta 5 we all thought Jock Cranley was the killer
If you're referencing the ghost on the mountain that ghost is Jolene Cranley, Jock Cranley's wife. He was responsible for her death by pushing her off the mountain.
@@morganblackhand2020lol had them confused for each other
Last few minutes were definitely pretty important for anyone to hear. Fuck man, the way we treat true crime as this form of entertainment rather than horrific acts of violence done to innocent people is so sad to see.
Oh beautiful, absolutely beautiful the series I have been waiting for
I love these kind of videos!!
Games conspiracy theories? I’m innn
And I'm watching this video on March 15h, 2024... What a coincidence!
Great content! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Another banger. Im excited for your gta 5 vids
Awesome. Another lore video 😊
Fizhyyy, i swear since gta4 i became a proper fan, even tho i watched like all the rdr Videos but now im like hella awsome souce, fizhy has uploaded
Ps
I loved that, you know how to make thouse games interessting, good job well done :)
I love the channel man
That barrel roll following the explosion was smooth af.
I think mission suits Franklin.
Michael wouldn't care so much about shady business mentioning solomon and his family. He is too much of a fan to research something harmful to them. I remember solomon richards talking trash about his son. Maybe solomon knew all that and angry that his son reveal it?
subscribed hope you do more of these gtav mystery/cases videos
Will do, thank you kindly
I am absolutely here for the GTA V lore. I love it.
I just love the speech yu said at the end
Idk why but these videos are better than any other that I have watched
Hey, man. Never came across that story-line but I loved the "Victory Roll". Classy and fitting way to take out that piece of scum.
“Another bicyclist killed in the streets.. police say he deserved it” was absolutely hilarious, i never heard that dialogue before
Fizhy so gangster he killed that lunatic and then kick flipped his Dominator over dudes dead body. Badass…..
22:05 Coldest Franklin Moment W
man this cinematics rock!
I haven't played this mission but I'm glad Franklin was doing this Mission. Michael or Trevor would lighten up the tone while Franklin can keep it serious. Which is just right for this mission.
22:04 that car driving up the hill, the most dramatic npc
Solid video with a barrel roll during the mission complete screen to really sell that Hollywood movie magic as the vigilante takes out the corrupt corporate type in an explosion after a wild car chase. Which is all so very cinematic 😂
I love the gta5 videos, a great game with a deep story that I honestly forgot after over a decade of gta online
Another banger vid
I love this! I was wondering about this bit of lore for a couple years now, if they simply left it unsolved or made it part of the game. This just satisfied both the gamer and the true crime lover in me, if that makes any sense 😂 even in GTA, seeing justice served is a great feeling for a case like this lol
9:05-9:17 "Butters, what have we told you about confessing to crimes you didn't commit?" sprung to mind
This is quite the easter egg in the GTA 5 game. The lore here is incredible. You may as well be a GTA detective in this particular case
i’ve never seen this one before, super cool!
I found your channel back in 2019 with one of your rdr2 videos been watching ever since love your shit bro
You could also say another meaning of her story is to show how horribly young women are treated in tv and film. They are often taken advantage of and sought out when they are too young to know any better about what they are doing. Even the GTA writing fucks up and tells us she is 15, but describes her as having "child-like naivete". 15 is a child; but she's expected to behave like an adult, since men find her desirable.
The news audio gave me goose bumps fr
This has such a good resolution. A cutscene and everything. Vigilante AND public justice.
22:02 uuunnnngghhh
I got all the collectables on the 360 version back in the day and it was definitely one of the more tedious collectable hunts I've ever done lol.
Anyway, fun video. Imma assume for story reasons, Franklin got the right guy but it is real silly of him to have wrote that letter 🤭
I feel like that's stereotypical serial killer arrogance
I always took the Leonora Johnson as the GTA adaptation of The Black Dahlia Murder
Having Franklin do this mission instead of Michael will always be a little confusing for me. But deep down I love it because it truly does fit in with Franklin's slightly higher morality than Michael's. Plus it's almost therapeutic to watch Franklin confront the man who tortured and murdered a young woman simply because he could.
It was wow. Thanks
Honestly I left the collectibles for last since I knew after a while of circling the map anyway I might as well gather all of them to make it interesting (I know I'm weird) but I managed to get 'em all (insert pokemon meme here) as always loving the content ♥
This is what I love about rockstar adding this sort of stuff to the game! My god the next gta is going to be amazing!
I accidently stumble this mystery but seeing a white paper on one of the locations while I was trying to do 100% completion. My curiosity get ahead of me by starting to search the map and even searching google to help me with the search.
They are definitely gonna have fun with Florida man mysteries
22:10omg that was absolutely beautiful moment
I enjoyed exploring the world and finding the scraps, even if it is repetitive
Sad thing is your video which are so good are not getting views
Can't wait to see what happens with GTA 6.
This game is a masterpiece
Sick barrel roll
what happens if you let him go? is there any news articles or email sent from him to franklin? (great video btw)
I’m glad they caught this killer
"Which is where i stole this s##tbox from" caught me off guard, not to mention it shows a picture of a clean restored vintage car
Fizhy you can always do videos about the alien parts, Nigel & Mrs Thronhill & The Altruiest cult
Rockstar’s newspapers and internet reads are so amusing
I would enjoy seeing a video on the space car 🚗
new Fizhy video means insta click
I mean i finished all the story missions and the side missions. Might as well just enjoy scouring around lost Santos finding collectibles
Damn thats deep
OMG I WAS LITERALLY THINKING IT WAS SIMILAR TO THE BLACK DAHLIA
I assume the website guy included himself as a suspect to be thorough, as he was an official suspect. He wanted all information on the case in one place.
i think saying its purely morbid curiosity is wrong, theres also a sense of wanting justice, finality. and wanting to know the circumstances of an unusual situation
Bro will have so much content when 6 drops
