i thought only jimmy page, david gilmour, robin trower, eddy van halen, stevie ray vauhan, jimi hendrix, steve via, alex lifeson, and alvin lee could play like that!!!!!! mike keneally is soo bad ass in this song. i am blown away!!!!!!

This is such a cool song! I have liked Keneally's playing since I first heard him on Zappa's Universe. I got to see his band Beer For Dolphins at the Baked Potato about 10 years ago. It was a great show and I got to meet him. The Baked Potato is the greatest place to see the best musicians in the world. I wish I lived down the street from there so I could go there every night.
Not only is Mike one of the greatest players on the planet, he had a great voice! Life is not fair!! LOL!

Fantastic and Phenomenal, is all I can say about Mike Keneally! I had the Wonderful experience of meeting him, becoming friends and doing his Lights here in San Diego...either @ Rio's or The Halcyon....when he was in his Band called "Drop Control"...before hooking up with Zappa! He was a musical genius then, as he's way beyond that now!

Mike has EMG SA single coils in "Jesse" (named after his Daughter), his late '80s Fender Eric Clapton Signature Guitar with a 2-Tek Bridge seen here, and 81X/85X Humbuckers well in his mid-2000's Koa Charvel Super-Strat and his Dethklok Randy Rhoads Models w/ Reverse Headstocks. His Taylor semi-hollowbody and electrics have their stock pickups.

Yup, the bassist from The Aristocrats' best friend - the drummer in this band, vaultmeister Joe Travers - got the gig in Dweezil and Ahmed Zappa's band "Z".
Mike Keneally, the former "stunt guitarist" in Frank Zappa's 1988 band, was the second guitarist in that band and when the original bass player, Scott Thunis, got fired Mr Travers recommended his buddy Bryan as a replacement.
Bryan really liked the solo stuff Keneally had made and he eventually ended up leaving "Z" to go ahead and play with Keneally instead.
And if we're nitpicking, it's Bryan - not Brian...

Keneally was the second guitarist in Dweezil's and Ahmed's band "Z" and Scott Thunes was fired from that band and was replaced by Bryan Beller.

Mike Keneally was Frank Zappa's guitarist in 1988, and he's toured with Steve Vai too as have the other Guys. Keneally and Bryan Beller, the Bassist, are currently touring with Joe Satriani.
