This song is so great that it’s really hard to describe. It touches my soul, I nod my head and jam to it, other parts are so beautiful that I get tears in my eyes. It’s really amazing. Thank you Mike Keneally
Thanks for saying it...I saw them in SF, with this exact lineup (and yes they played and killed this track live...) and was completely blown away... I was practically writhing on the floor all night...Joe Satriani's whole band was present at gig...Met Mike after wards (sweetest, genuine man...) hung with Joe Satch...Fun night to extreme....One of THE best live shows I've ever seen on par with The Dixie Dregs shows in early '80's...
Beautiful mix! Oh, and the band? As always, just the best. Thank you, gentlemen, and please keep doing what you do, because there's nothing out there even remotely like this stuff. We NEED this!!!
WOW ! Amazing. MIKE IS A MONSTER. Beautiful song and the solo was insane. I'm like . . . . wow. Hahahaha. Thanks. I'm really looking forward to this dvd,
wow wow wow really love the start you are surrounded by two lead players and you get to play rhythm that's what i call a rhythm players heaven all along you know that soon your leads will be soaring very fine music here peace, rich
Saw Mr. K with Ed Palermo and his Zappa Big Band in NYC a couple of years ago. Napoleon Murphy Brock was also on the show. Was a wonderful night - my wife's birthday! Andy, Inca Roads, all great. Ended with NMB wearing a chef's hat and distributing muffins during Muffin Man.
Mike is great. You've got to see him live. Saw him live in Atlanta a few months ago (Sept). Somebody had to say it, but they don't know what they're talking about.
I saw Keneally with Zappa in '88. He was brilliant will under the direction of this great composer/song writer. Here we have a group of very technically proficient musicians, virtuosos,no doubt about it. As song writers and composers, they're fair at best.
"Such utter beauty!" < totally agree. One of my 3 favorite live performances, the other 2 being Dweezil playing Inca Roads and Stevie Ray playing Voodoo Chile.
really indeed EPIC PIECE are you using the sloatman device in that green strat cause it sure sounds like Frank and I sure like it ... like is in the air oh like is in the air......... When ya coming to TX again ?
Pardon my ignorance but I hear a major Andy Partridge influence in the verses of this lovely song. Since I'm just discovering this video, I simply don't know any of the background, so please feel free to enlighten me. Obvious FZ influences in the solo section, which blazes. Is that Joe Travers on drums? What a smoking red hot performance!
THE Joe Travers...I saw this line up in SF club, Oct 2011, and Joe's drumming was stunning...Made sure he knew it, too...Waited until he was breaking down his kit to let him know, oersonally, just HOW much his drumming blew me away...Sweet man was graciously appreciative...WHAT a show! As this track here betrays, the three gtr wall of sound being blasted along by the aforementioned MISTER Travers and bassist extraordinaire Bryan Bellar was, outside of only VERY few, one the best live gigs I've seen...
@surroundlounge I'd try posting in the blink 182/simpleplan-type band videos. I have no clue as to what band it might be, but try the punk/rock/pop audience... good luck!
words fail when trying to verbalize mk's/band's awesomeness.
When it comes to live raw unbridled rock and roll, The Who Live at Leeds comes to mind. Feel it all, Kedgeree is the peak of Mt Everest.
I was gonna say the drummer sounds/plays like a version of Moon that never had the severe addiction and mental issues. Amazing drummer.
Bravo to whoever shouted out "Nice Warm-Up!" @ 7:55
I’ve listened to this dozens of times - it’s one of my all time favourite live performances. Amazing, beautiful musical treat.
The drums in this song are so fucking exciting.
Im so glad I live in LA and I get to see him and many others any time I want. See you at Alvas in a couple weeks!
Holy mother of all amazing things musical and otherwise!! That was awesome!!!

Wow! It's comforting to know there are still guys out there who can really play.
There’s never been more musical talent.
My favorite Keneally song, and what an awesome interpretation ! Great musicians.
Quite possibly the best music DVD I've ever seen and heard :)
Beautiful mix! Oh, and the band? As always, just the best. Thank you, gentlemen, and please keep doing what you do, because there's nothing out there even remotely like this stuff. We NEED this!!!

I really like this man's approach to music, he also left the secret society. (evidence the song "beautiful.")
Great mix!
I always wonder how they did get so good sound when recording this....
"There is not enough darkness in all the world to put out the light of even one small candle."

Not Colaiuta...Marco Minneman is Satriani's drummer for this tour
It doesn't even sound like Vinnie, lol.
i shit my pants at the end!
WTF ?? Why only have one tuning key
He & Colaiuta are out touring with Joe Satriani
Didn't his tenure with Frank have a dramatic end? Gail won't talk to him. Not sure what went on there.
Zlatan on bass, he he he.
man! dudes... farkkk.... ...come to adelaide... dudes...so good.
@surroundlounge I'd try posting in the blink 182/simpleplan-type band videos. I have no clue as to what band it might be, but try the punk/rock/pop audience... good luck!
