I have been watching you since Ch. 50, so you are like an old friend. I watch your yt posts every night when I get home from work. Hope you keep it going as I really enjoy watching them.
Happy retirement Bill! I discovered your YT channel a while back and enjoy the tidbits of CA history mixed in with weather and waves… In fact I just ordered up Cadillac Desert yesterday. Very cool way to do the forecasts.
Congrats Bill, you’re going to love retirement. I always looked forward to hearing you and Tom Tolbert on Fridays on KNBR. Maybe a convo with Tom about beer making. I really enjoy your weather reports and feel smarter because of them. I’m here as long as you are.😊
Congrats Bill! Have enjoyed your forecasts and surf and snow centric reports for decades. Please keep the videos coming. Thank you for being a mainstay of Bay Area weather life for 35 years!
Congrats Bill. But we viewers will miss your whit and wisdom on the news. Glad to here we still can follow you on TH-cam. Best of luck on your next chapter!
Congratulations Bill, we have been dedicated viewers of your weather reports in the firehouse! I love your commentaries and way of explaining weather. You will be missed but I look forward to your youtube channel!!!! What a great career you had!
Just found your channel a few weeks ago. Grew up watching KTVU and love having this option for more in depth bay area weather and climate news. Congratulations on your retirement, you're an awesome person!
Congrats on your retirement! I’ve always enjoyed your forecasts. I’m glad I found you on TV. Please don’t be afraid to dive deep occasionally into the weather science - it’s great to learn from an expert.
That's a heck of a career! Congratulations! More time for surfing! I've been watching you since I was a kid, my mom would always put the news on while we were making dinner, and everything would have to stop when the weather came on. Sometimes I would make the mistake of trying to talk, but my mom would not have a single peep out of us until Bill was done with the weather! I absolutely love this youtube channel, and I really enjoy how you go a little deeper into the details, and you show us the awesome tools that are out there. I've already got mesowest and the GFS models bookmarked!
Congrats Bill on your retirement!!! And glad you will continue your TH-cam. We just love watching them! My husband ordered the book on California geology you mentioned.
Congrats Bill, we’ve enjoyed you all these years, digging your TH-cam channel too. Wise was where I got my very first set of Cadillac Wheels, the first urethane skateboard board wheels available. We came all the way from Oakland to grab em.
Happy retirement Bill. I always enjoyed how you would throw in some surf reporting and knowledge during your weather forecasts. Saw you and your son out surfing Sharks in SC several years ago. Enjoy the next stage.😎🤙🏽
Congratulations! Feeling extra appreciative you're doing this TH-cam channel. Love your approach and yes, it's nice to have a friendly, familiar face in our day. Enjoy your retirement, Bill!
Congrats Bill on your much deserved retirement! I'm into my first year of retirement and it is truly great! You can surf and ski during the week while everyone else is working. See you out there and please keep up the videos.
😮🎉😊 Congrats My wife said your weather guy is retiring ! Great to have a Nor Cal guy talking about the awesome place we live in and enjoy, from Tahoe to Tomales. Eddie would go because Bill said the surf is up. Chains required ….
Best wishes on your retirement. I will miss seeing you on the news, but I hope you keep doing the you tube segments. I hope to hear more stories of you growing up in the bay area.
Wow...congratulations ! I have watched you since way back to the Dennis and Elaine days ! KTVU is my go-to news channel. Enjoying your TH-cam channel...very informative...thank you !
Congrats on your retirement!!! Go surf! I'm 6 months into retirement and it is awesome! You will be missed on the boob-tube (you have a ton of fans including me), but happy that you have this TH-cam channel.
Congratulations, on your retirement Bill. You know when the time is right to retire. For me that was almost 6 and 1/2 years ago. I'm glad you're still going to be doing weather. You're one of my weather channels I like to follow. So you're going to still have your own Weather channel much the same way that Mark Finan who retired from KCRA channel 3 in Sacramento does. I follow both of you guys. The first weather personality I remember following was when I was living in Bakersfield was Dr. George Fishbeck on KABC Los Angeles. Mr. Bill
(1) Congrats! (2) You're too young to leave us, but thankful for your forecasts the last decade I've lived here, and (3) Millennials know Pat Finn from "Shop to you drop" from the 90's, but didn't know he was on Ch. 4
Bill... best wishes for your retirement! You and Steve have been my favorite weather folks in the bay area and throughout the US. Your maturity and authenticity are key values I enjoy. (BTW I also enjoy Steve's humor). Who will be the chief meteorologist at Channel 2 after you leave?
Bill, congratulations on retirement, what a run! Cool story about living at Wise, Bob was a legend, and the shop is sorely missed. Around what year was the Budweiser Surf contest? Keep on keepin’ on brother. Hope you’re getting out out Ocean Beach still, been a few nice head high plus days of late.
Alright Bill! Joining the retirement club, it's great! Takes a bit of getting used to, not working, but you'll be fine. Congrats on a great career! PS Bill, Dollar Point is just north of Tahoe City, fyi.
I was thinking you would be close to retirement at 66. I've been watching Mark Finan's channel, and he just retired. You two have like parallel careers and both likable and fine people.
Yeah, Pete and Joel with their black markers. I think Joel used to flip it in the air and catch it? Or was that Pete. I think they both drew on Acrylic? Or paper? Can't quite remember.
Pat Finn, as in the guy who hosted the game show Shop Til You Drop, Pat Finn? I loved that game show and have been watching some clips of it on youtube over the last few weeks. I didn't know he worked in the Bay Area.
Hey Bill, congratulations on the retirement. Please don’t retire from TH-cam. We love you!
I have been watching you since Ch. 50, so you are like an old friend. I watch your yt posts every night when I get home from work. Hope you keep it going as I really enjoy watching them.

Rich, fyi, Tommy got canned by ruthless KNBR a while ago....
@ww2remembered983 Yep, I knew that.
Congrats Bill! Have enjoyed your forecasts and surf and snow centric reports for decades. Please keep the videos coming. Thank you for being a mainstay of Bay Area weather life for 35 years!
Congrats, Bill. I moved to the Bay Area in 1994, and you've been my guide to this corner of the world ever since. Thanks for 35 years of amazing work!
Congrats Bill. But we viewers will miss your whit and wisdom on the news. Glad to here we still can follow you on TH-cam. Best of luck on your next chapter!
You're the man Bill! I watch every day!

I remember meeting you at the Sonoma County Water Agency. I think you and Morrison knew each other.....
Congratulations!! Maybe we will cross paths while exploring the Eastern Sierras
What!? You can't quit! Who will I watch in the evenings? Ha ha. Congrats Bill. Time to become a full time surfer/vlogger.
Thanks Mark
I remember you doing the weather with the lovely Marcia Brandwynne at anchor--I think it was a noon broadcast.
I remember when you started. I thought you were great from the very beginning. The entire team was pretty great tbh.
Stick around bill enjoy the graphics
But...but...where will we be able to see your cat like we got to when you were working from home??! Congratulations on your retirement!
We used to call not having an apartment “going all Berkeley!”
Alright Bill! Joining the retirement club, it's great! Takes a bit of getting used to, not working, but you'll be fine. Congrats on a great career! PS Bill, Dollar Point is just north of Tahoe City, fyi.

Yes Pat Finn. We both worked at KTVU back in the 80s and early 90s.
I remember when you replaced Pat Mccormick weekdays on KTVU (I think it was in 1994). You will be sincerely missed.
