Made it out to North OB this morning hoping to catch a couple before work and wow was it scary lol. Def not 3-6 feet, as advertised. The waves would come in at 6-8 foot faces and then foldover on themselves and then jack up to 10+. The back of the wave looked even bigger than the front. Caught one overhead wave, then a cleanup set rolled through and threw me back to the beach so I took that as a sign to head out LOL. Chatted with one dude walking back to the car whose board had been broken in two and was glad I escaped with my mine. As Bill has said multiple times, OB is a dangerous place. As a Bay Area surfer, I really can’t express how amazing this channel is. It’s a true blessing and I watch every episode. Thank you, Bill!
That is the Santa Clara river. Peru to Ventura/Oxnard. Across the rive , those mountains in the background is the Sespe, where the Condor sanctuary is located.
As a firefighter and surfer in Northern Cal we are entering a great prescribed burn window, not to mention pumping surf with light offshore winds. By the way, do you know where the very first most northern right point in all of the Americas, all the way to Nicaragua is?
I'm glad you are doing this TH-cam presentations. I don't watch the news anymore, it's nice to get to see and hear you talking weather. Long time fan!
Same here Bill!
Thanks Daryl. It’s so different from TV
