Yea, that's where the laws Luke that come in to play thow. That's why they were created. The few people that grew to be generationally normal after decades, made lots of laws to prevent the {still huge} amount of nasties from being in their spaces so they'd be safe.

The law was originally ment to be against gang related tattoos but has been treated as a blanket dress code rule.

    I hope it changes soon.
there have been more and more stories on this topic leading to more awareness of this weird law and more ppl want it repealed.

Furthermore, private business or not, generally in commonwealth countries courts have maintained that a business that it open to the public IS obligated to serve all the public. So as a business, I couldn't for example, say "no Koreans in my pet store".

Everything was closed at 4 am. My cotton mouth was so bad she would’ve felt sand paper on her lips 😂😂. I start driving up this hill I like and bam a deer jumps in front of my car. I swerve and stop then another 3-4 cross the road like they own it. When I was driving her home some crack head was just standing in the middle of the road. I switched to the left lane and when I was about to pass him he starts walking towards my lane while I’m going 40+ mph …. I swerved hard to the left to make it between the street barrier going the wrong way on the road. I just stopped on the side and wonder wtf happened because I almost killed some guy. I asked her and and she didn’t even notice the guy till I swerved. Bad night and bad morning with only getting like 30 mins of sleep.

This is completely wrong. There aren’t laws in Aus banning general face tattoos. There are laws banning display of prohibited insignias. For example, in Victoria, it’s illegal to display a swastika at all. So tattoo of that would be an offence. In Western Aus, the are motorcycle gangs that are outlawed and displaying their symbols or patches would be considered an offence. What I think this guy is saying is a bar refused entry because of his tattoos, bars are allowed to do that, but it doesn’t make the tattoos illegal.

It's not a law, it's like here in the states it's a private business and they can allow who they want, there are bars that have NO CUTs allowed in

@@Buy_Me_A_Nightmare I lived in Australia and mainly go back and fourth between Canberra, Melb and Sydney. I was about to say, I know heaps of people with tattoos (myself included), including hands and neck (but not me) that have no issues. Australia is actually a country that that I see the highest amount of people with tattoos that I've been to. I know you're saying it's a Gold Coast thing but, I'm still more incline to believe it's this specific dude doing something wrong prior lol.

@@YeahNaw Same mate, I’ve never had an issue anywhere in Aus except Gold Coast, and to a lesser extent, Brisbane. Both of those places I’ve been with mates who collectively have less tattoos than I do, I’ve watched the put coverup foundation over their tattoos because they know they won’t get into a club with exposed tattoos! Nowhere else in Australia. I think there is something to what you say though, they are young, and stupid. I’ve walked in and never been asked, I do look like someone with gang affiliations.

Yeah same in South Australia. Any establishment has a right to refuse entry for those reasons and there's literally nothing you do about it. And if you kick up a fuss you will get arrested for disorderly behaviour
