I don’t have not 1 tattoo on my body, and don’t plan to-the blackout just looks so extreme!!!But we all have our own lives and live them the way WE want!!!Live and let live 💪
Who knows what they really mean by sacrifice... Probably soul sacrifice or something... Everyone always feels they have to go to the extreme to be different for some reason.
This is not sacrifice, Definitely not ultimate sacrifice. The ultimate sacrifice was the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ on the cross of calvary. This is sacrifice, that a man would die for the sins of the world. What these people have is a demonic possession that is telling them to destroy the temple of God. This is sacrifice that a man would give his life to save the very soul of these very unfortunate people that are as lost as a person can possibly be. These people are living so deep in darkness the pleasure they seek is to completely black out their bodies. And the only way to match the darkness on the inside of these people is to equally darken the outside of themselves. The guy at the 9:00 mark said people look at me like I'm crazy, but I'm not crazy. I agree 100% He is not crazy he is possessed by a demonic spirit. I pray he will REPENT of his sins and come to Jesus. And be baptized in the name of Jesus and be filled with the holyspirit. And then he will be cleansed of his sins and the blood of Jesus will wash him whiter than snow! Glory to God Glory to the name of Jesus.
I love tattoos it’s a form of self expression and passion and love for certain things. Whether it’s family or friends or beliefs or simply makes the person happy.
The ultimate sacrifice is dying while saving someone else's life, not tattooing yourself. Don't care what you do with your bodies but don't put yourselves on a pedestal for a cosmetic change.
@bellar850 They aren't covering an emptiness they are expressing their fullness. Don't judge js bc they express themselves in works of art. BTW I respect ur beliefs, they probably do to, so why don't u respect them as well 🙂👍

Remy is walking proof a blackout could be used as a restart. You go to an artist that knows what their doing after the blackout is healed you can hit it with damn near whatever you want
Many people express the idea that some of their older tattoos no longer represent them... I have to wonder if anyone will feel that way about blackout someday?
Most people never regret it or they went through the foundations and are working towards insane bright colours and shades off of blackout. You speak like this is the first time it’s ever been done. This has been done for decades people have had work like this for over 60 plus years and don’t regret it.
I just cant get over those heavy face tattoos. I really cant see why someone would want that. But hey, everyone is different and that is the beauty of life i guess.
As usual, Americans take it to the extreme. Nowhere else on the planet but here. Thousands of years of tatting with indigenous cultures respecting the meaning and process, and Americans gotta use it to work out their psychological issues.
The mental health crisis in America is beyond comprehension and is completely ignored. The country focuses only on curing symptoms and not curing problems. People are left to figure it out themselves. Thus all the body dismorphia, addiction, homelessness, domestic violence, self harm, public massacres, suicide, etc. All potentially avoidable if we focused on the mental health crisis. But instead of bringing any attention to the mental health crisis we just talk non stop about the symptoms not the cause

i have some blackout work by a smaller artist. i would just say definitely look at their portfolio and even better if you can meet someone they've tattooed! that was how i knew he could do it and it would heal well- seeing it on healed skin irl. but yeah it's nowhere near as easy as some people think it is.

I don’t want to offend anybody but I just have one question. Many of these people say they did black out because they regretted other tattoos or didn’t identify with them anymore , maybe some with just a few years. What is the assurance it doesn’t happen again with the black out? Now there’s not rly a way to go back :/ some of them look super cool tho and i hope they own it as long as they wear it !
I don’t think there’s any guarantee! It would suck to get tired of blackwork. I don’t have any tattoos yet but I do imagine that it’s hard to get tired of solid black since it’s plain and just one color, while I imagine some designs may get old faster

Both of my forearms are done. Two four hour sessions back to back days . Hurt like hell! Thank god for the OREO COOKIES on the second day!! It’s my midlife crisis!!! And love looking at myself in the mirror again!! It was a cover up of old stuff that wasn’t me anymore.
People can do whatever they want with their bodies but my fear for them is that in later life it will not be what they want and then it becomes an issue.
You also change as you get older, stuff you did in your 20's you wouldn't do in your 40's, trouble is in your 20's your 40's seems a lifetime away but it really isn't.
Not necessarily. I am almost 50 and haven’t changed much. I started with my first Japanese half sleeve and am now busy with finishing my complete bodysuit. Still doing same sports and hobbies. I never understood why other people change so much during life…
Ive seen some really beautiful black- out tattoos. The lady wearing the orange shirt with short dark hair has very nice tattoos and shes so so beautiful and her tatts flatter her body. If you are a beautiful woman always keep if its flattering your neck or hand or where ever you are getting it.

@@Tkenny35 yeah i always think the same, i have no tattoos (i want some though) but i really love the art and i like tattoos even if its not my style. just cuz i dont want it on my skin doesnt mean that its universaly bad for every human, and when someone straight up hates and rants about it or trys to lecture you even tough they dont even have tattoos themselves i always think "who are they to think that their opinion is so important, why do they think, they have the right to do that even though the tattooed person feels totaly confortable in their skin"
Really lol I think these people need to talk to a therapist and just spend the money to get them lasered off
@@perrycoffey5410 nah man, that you clearly don't understand that some people think differently than you... They don't need a therapist to understand what they want on their skin.
@@perrycoffey5410 I cant look at these people and say they need therapy. I just dont like the style of art.
Absolutely hilarious😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That was really interesting. I think you have to have balls to do blackout. It’s not my jam but I respect it.
Basically blackout tattoos are made to cover up old tattoos that you´re bored of and set a new start to get new full black ones that you will get bored of too but you won´t be able to cover up.
If you have an addiction you have to go stronger and harder to get the same fix. Once the artistry no longer brings satisfaction and every surface has been utilised, this is the logical conclusion
If it makes you happy. Go for it. Life is too short. I love my tattoos. ❤❤❤
So many people get em nowadays, it's not even a way to distinguish yourself anymore.
I've also healed a lot mentally and emotionally through getting tattooed. Long way to go yet for a bodysuit but can't wait to get more blackwork done.
How does tattooing "heal"?
@@shoutatthesky For me it is meditative because you are present in the moment (because of the pain) for hours at a time. And when I started getting tattooed a lot I was very depressed so the aftercare gave me a reason to get out of bed and build a routine around. As time went on it became more about building the image in the mirror to what I liked so it pushed me to workout more and in turn eat healthier. Not to mention the comfort of being accepted into a group of like minded people.
They also boost your ability to heal wounds if you get tattooed regularly.
@@Zanaze_banane If you say so.
@@Zanaze_banane Seems very dependent on the approval of others.
To each his own, real freedom is the ability to be yourself without interference from anyone or anything. Not for me, but kudos to these folks for being free.
I almost tapped out with part of my blackout tattoo. Luckily I was almost done, so my artist was like "You are being such a champ!! Just a little bit longer, and you are done." So I stuck it out and got it done. It was so "spicy" as my artist would say. Lol. I love my blackout tattoo now, and I'm not quite done with it yet!!
i have some blackwork and during it, i honestly entered into like a zen state and almost fell asleep LOL. my artist said it was unusual but maybe my pain tolerance is crazy high because i have chronic pain. kind of cool because one of my main weaknesses has become my strength in getting tattoos! can't wait to have a full body suit. i'll feel more like myself as weird as that sounds.
Hey!! That's amazing! I'm sure it looks great, but do you mind me asking a question? How is the healing process? If I am struggling with my back tattoo healing right now, I wonder how it is a full black. 👍😊
@@MaCad364 my artist uses second skin/tegaderm and i've never even scabbed or had an "itchy phase" as i make sure to use a good thick body butter (hustle butter). i think everyone is different though. i would say it's definitely worth it. hoping you heal well! backs are hard to heal in my experience as you're always pressing into it unless you sit funny lol. my arms and legs all healed no problem though.
Wow, thanks for answering!! Yeah, true about sitting down funny lol I just laughed hard thinking about it lol 😂 I’m sure your tattoo must look so amazing!! And lucky you!! My second skin still gives me itchy lol my nightmare starts is when I remove that skin lol 😅😂
I've got Japanese sleeves and it's hard for me to imagine getting this kind of work being especially painful, aside from the length of the session. Line work is painful. I'm always super relieved when it goes to getting color added. It's literally like "whew" thank God.
🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
I don’t have not 1 tattoo on my body, and don’t plan to-the blackout just looks so extreme!!!But we all have our own lives and live them the way WE want!!!Live and let live 💪
I like the look of black work. Would never get it but I appreciate the aesthetic.
Giving your life is the ultimate sacrifice, drawing on your skin is just drawing on your skin
I bet you’d cry like a 🐱 getting 5% of his work done.
Im adamant on covering my whole body. For me, I know what im sacrificing and it's worth it. I just want to be me, despite what I look like.
I'm a Tattoo artist, i got half of my left arm black all by myself. As long as you didn't step on anybody go for it. 🖤
I love tattoos it’s a form of self expression and passion and love for certain things. Whether it’s family or friends or beliefs or simply makes the person happy.
The dude with the neck up to the chin is OG
Wow thay are really passionate about their tattoo. Great videos thanks for up loads mate.
The ultimate sacrifice is dying while saving someone else's life, not tattooing yourself. Don't care what you do with your bodies but don't put yourselves on a pedestal for a cosmetic change.
thank you jayphil very cool
If you call it cosmetic change it is clear you don’t know shit about the history and background of tattooing.
The ultimate sacrifice is Jesus, Son of God, The sacrificial lamb. He gave his life to save our souls.
These poor people are filling their bodies with ink to cover up the emptiness in their souls. We need God to feel whole, not a gallon of ink.
@bellar850 They aren't covering an emptiness they are expressing their fullness. Don't judge js bc they express themselves in works of art. BTW I respect ur beliefs, they probably do to, so why don't u respect them as well 🙂👍
i have one small tattoo on my wrist and i am curently busy with a full traditional Japanese dragon sleeve on my left arm but i am also really intrested in black outs. i am starting to like it more and more. especially after watching "Ephemeral Remy". his black outs with color added looks insanely good!
Remy is walking proof a blackout could be used as a restart. You go to an artist that knows what their doing after the blackout is healed you can hit it with damn near whatever you want
I will start my black out journey this year 🤩🤩🤩
Many people express the idea that some of their older tattoos no longer represent them...
5:01 THAT is done SUPER well, best of the lot. Look how smooth it is, pure class.
I just cant get over those heavy face tattoos. I really cant see why someone would want that. But hey, everyone is different and that is the beauty of life i guess.
I know we all got our favorite Inked artists but michele is my #1
I love it, especially over other work.
I'd be worried about vitamin D synthesis and being able to easily diagnosis skin cancer.
Art is more important. You gotta make sacrifices
As usual, Americans take it to the extreme. Nowhere else on the planet but here. Thousands of years of tatting with indigenous cultures respecting the meaning and process, and Americans gotta use it to work out their psychological issues.
So you admit that multiculturalism is ultimately detrimental?
America is lost
One of these people is French. Indigenous tribes aren't the only cultures that have tattoos.
This stuff all started in Europe…
Joe looks gnarly in the best way.
It’s funny when people act like blackout is new. I’ve been watching it and wanting it since the early 90’s.
I have blackout on my arm In 2017 and finished it off in 2019 and I love it
if an artist was demanding 'creative control' , while in the process of blacking out my arm , im sorry, but id laugh in his face
I see wounds. Emotional ones. Many scars. The type of scars that blackouts will never cover.

Compliments!! I think this is a great film in many ways!!
This was cool ❤️🔥
ADDICTION comes to mind
I
Doing my first blackout session next mont. I can’t wait and I think I’m already addicted 😬🤘🏼🤘🏼
I really don’t care what anyone does but, when it comes to your eyes that’s really dangerous to mess with!
Of course you don't yea the eyes is extremely stupid and people who do that need therapy
I’m a black guy and I wanna whiteout 🙃
lol
👌
Blackout tattoo looks amazing
I just did my left forearm and the entire process sucks. It hurt getting it, the healing hurts but can't wait to go back to finish my arm. It's so different than a regular tattoo. Be 100% before you commit.
I’m in the process of getting a lot of blackout work done. Let me tell you, if you do it, do it by someone who does nothing else except blackout work. My entire forearm has been blacked out 2 whole times and it still looks like patchy trash. Go to hoode in Philly or swope in Ohio.
i have some blackout work by a smaller artist. i would just say definitely look at their portfolio and even better if you can meet someone they've tattooed! that was how i knew he could do it and it would heal well- seeing it on healed skin irl. but yeah it's nowhere near as easy as some people think it is.
Why would you do that I think it's a real dumb idea do you not want to work or something
I absolutely love tattoos and just seeing these people here just renews if not strengthen my love for tattoos I wanna get something kind of like that in the future
Glad I saw this. Not getting a single tattoo after that.
Love the vibe
I don’t have to do any of that! I’m a black man and my melanin is good enough and better than ink! 😎
Whats the girls name with the tatted eyes and scratch face tattoos?
Michaela Bottin-Ackerman. She does amazing anime tattoos, her instagram is listed in the description above, check her out.
@@inked thx : )
I don’t want to offend anybody but I just have one question. Many of these people say they did black out because they regretted other tattoos or didn’t identify with them anymore , maybe some with just a few years. What is the assurance it doesn’t happen again with the black out? Now there’s not rly a way to go back :/ some of them look super cool tho and i hope they own it as long as they wear it !
You can tattoo over black (see ephemeral remy), I wouldn’t mind trying scarification over some of my blackwork one day
I don’t think there’s any guarantee! It would suck to get tired of blackwork. I don’t have any tattoos yet but I do imagine that it’s hard to get tired of solid black since it’s plain and just one color, while I imagine some designs may get old faster
@@milkismurder ah nicee
It's going to happen again. For SURE
These tattoos are awesome. I’m not a person that wears any tattoos except for my eyebrows, but these tattoos are works of art. Thank you for sharing.❤❤❤❤❤
8:18 • if you really look at this gentleman, I see a beautiful piece of art. The details in the ink is amazing. All the dedication these folks put into black work is incredible.
EDIT:
6:16 • I’ve seen this gentleman awhile back and to see what he’s added. The lines are perfectly done, it’s so well done. I’m in augh of how perfect the color is. That’s incredible.
I used to work with that dude, absolute legend, super smart guy
No this is just addicts exposing their ADDICTION to one more thing in their lives 😂😂
Exactly
these folks have literal nerves of steel getting work done, lazered off, then redone AND BLACKEDOUT! i got my sternum done.. that shit KILLED.. i can't imagine getting it lazered off let alone blacked out! 🤪
Filled from the outside, hollow within
"Your a warrior....just give me your money!!!"
I have some blackwork done and let me tell you something. It's not only the outcome and the look of it afterwards, the 8 hours + of blackout work process is an interesting mental test.
I don't have any tattoos and I don't plan on getting any but I love watching this stuff and if I was going to do it it would be solid blackwork. Just appeals to me.
So sick
Most people not all but most look at you with honest irrest Some of us look at you with admiration that you went through that for what you love. It sucks to get stared at but mostly I is not malicious just curiosity
I have a black out tattoo and I love mine , made me more confident. (Had bad work before)
It’s seems like most of these stories are like getting a bad haircut and then you end up chopping off all of your hair, they never wanted black tattoos they just ended up with them because they didn’t like their other tattoos anymore
Blackout means never being able to get that area tattooed again. Real commitment. Myself I feel more committed to my first tattoos.
Not at all. PLenty of people get white over the top or let it settle and get black on black work done.
4:44 she´s so beautiful
Both of my forearms are done. Two four hour sessions back to back days . Hurt like hell! Thank god for the OREO COOKIES on the second day!! It’s my midlife crisis!!! And love looking at myself in the mirror again!! It was a cover up of old stuff that wasn’t me anymore.
I'm so glad that I am sane .
Yup. 100 percent that they will all regret these choices
Not necessarily. I am almost 50 and haven’t changed much. I started with my first Japanese half sleeve and am now busy with finishing my complete bodysuit. Still doing same sports and hobbies. I never understood why other people change so much during life…
I love blackout! 🖤
Hell yeah 🖤
I love all my tattoos too much to even think about covering them up. Even the crap ones I did myself.
The woman with the short cut and orange shirt is so beautiful
8:04 Nah not true. Because the Brutal Black was a blackout tattoo project that was purposely suppose to be painful
Ive seen some really beautiful black- out tattoos. The lady wearing the orange shirt with short dark hair has very nice tattoos and shes so so beautiful and her tatts flatter her body. If you are a beautiful woman always keep if its flattering your neck or hand or where ever you are getting it.
I don't understand this because I'm an old man, but I really feel sorry for these people. I have two motorcycle tattoos that I got in my twenties because I thought it was cool and I still remember the pain.
The pain tollerance of the dude who first tattooed his whole body, lazered it off than blacked out his whole body must be out of this world.
If you think back the dude from rage against the machine had it done on his ars and shoulder... hes the first like 1990
That was so striking then and now my inspiration to blackout my entire body now...
