Lest there be some misunderstanding, allow me (a Japanese person in Japan) to emphasize: Japan is NOT on the side of Palestine either. As both sides are hellbent on killing off the other, neither has justice on their side no matter how much they claim to.
The only path forward to peace is for both parties to lay off their murderous intent, and see things from both perspectives, not just their own. That just might lead to the realization that everyone will end up the loser in the end... But that kind of sense and reason are a tall order for people who've been doing this for decades on end.

@@makotito73 you have to look at where the problem originated. When the Spanish conquered native tribes in the American continent after 1492 they faced resistance from the natives. This is sort of the same thing what’s happening in modern times. If you lived under the conditions that Palestinians do in Gaza you’d be frustrated and angry as well being locked up in an open air prison. Israel doesn’t want a one state solution because that means the Palestinians would have full rights and only within a few years they would takeover that country because they populate and replenish the earth at a much faster rate then the Jews do. The birth rate amongst the Palestinians is much higher in relation to the Jewish. You should be familiar with my birth rate comparison as you yourself have a major birth rate problem in Japan. There won’t be a Japan within 100 years with that kind of trajectory.

@@appendix-q6k The difference is that both the Palestinians and the Jews have historical ties to the land, each in their own way. As long as that's the case, they both need to be able to make compromises for the greater good (i.e. peace) That's what conflict resolution means: No one side gets everything they want, but both sides get to avoid an even worse outcome.
But as I've stated, they're utterly incapable of having such prudence, and resisting the base urge to murder the other. In that way they've both forgotten to be human, and therefore deserve each other.

@@makotito73 they lived fine in peace until the European settlers arrived that don’t have an ounce of middle eastern descent in them. That’s the difference. You’re talking about a specific type of Jew. Not a European one. The Palestinians don’t have a second passport to leave to their other home as many white Israelis do and have fled abroad during this conflict. That’s the difference a people fighting for their existential land vs those that arrived from Europe to settle their Kibutz. Well if you are settling somebody had to be displaced right?

not to mention the random call out of Hamas to engage in peacetalks? How are they supposed to do that when you 1. murdered their leader and 2. continue shelling the enclave without any apparent regard for the actual civilians who will most benefit from the ceasefire?
It's all so disingenuous. The fact that they just can't call out Israel is ridiculous. Japan suffers from the same guilt-ridden stranglehold on its reason that Germany does. Still awaiting Germany's leaders to show us those "beheaded babies" videos they all got to see in private but couldn't disclose to the public...meanwhile, 2 more charred and beheaded babies this week in Palestinian all over Twitter. Where, indeed, are the arrest warrants for these war criminals who are using starvation as a weapon of war, causing suffering to an estimated 2 million innocent people? Is the ICC, tasked with upholding justice on a global scale, turning a blind eye and a deaf ear to these atrocities? If fear is what's holding them back, then perhaps it would be more honorable for them to step aside. This is not a time for timidity, but for decisive action. The world is watching, and the victims of these crimes deserve justice.

But that kind of sense and reason are a tall order for people who've been doing this for decades on end.

you both lost WW2. In exchange of US military support you have given up your independence. She had a beautiful but useless speech, and in October Olaf Scholz ran off to offer Netanyahu unconditionnal support. 2 dwarfs in the world's affairs.

The official government demands for refugees from Palistine that in whose ID is Israel, if they refuse it, there is an X instead. These government in Germany are only puppets as well as in the USA. Israel is poisoning our earth, maybe you're right that the speech has little effect, but it shows humanity and compassion, which at least makes me proud and shows me that not every government is corrupt and money addicted.

well then you didn’t get half of the story here,
I’m a Sephardi J3w myself and I’ve been to both ISRL and PAL. multiple times coz I used to go there for my work from the nineties till the pandemic… and I still have friends in both places ! And let me tell you Pal. is definitely on the justice side!!! Even if “ khammms” leaders will have to face ICC ISRL has been accused of many more cr!mes for the last 80 years !
You should try to educate yourself on the subject before claiming something all international and ISRLi human rights NGOs as well as the highests international courts of justice deny !
