Maple Grove celebrates new senior housing

Classical music is synonymous with elegance. At the new SilverCreek on Main, elegance isn't in short supply.
Built right along Main Street in the heart of downtown Maple Grove, this senior living community has 195 apartments and offers nearly every amenity a person could want as they live out their golden years.
"It's got high-end equipment, high-end food, high-end facility," said Maple Grove Mayor Mark Steffenson. "It's a beautiful place."
Construction began in the spring of 2014. The facility currently has 146 residents occupying 109 apartments. A grand opening celebration for SilverCreek on Main was held Saturday.
"People want and deserve to live in a really nice location when they're seniors, and this gives them that ability and gives them that choice," said Steffenson.
SilverCreek on Main also opened up the fitness area to seniors over the age of 55 who don't live there. Access to the fitness facility does require a membership. For information, call Jennifer Miller, director of marketing, at 763-955-1752.
