You are probably the best reviewer of mcfarlane dc figures out there, great detailed, close-up honest review. You have earned a sub my friend. Merry Christmas Brad. 🎅
If he didn't have a gripping hand he wouldn't be able to hold the batarang. I do wish the cape was cut in the shape that he has in the artwork but pleased that it's able to come over his shoulders more. It's ashame that this figure is labeled as being from Batman Noel but there hasn't been much effort to make it accurate, especially when you look at the White Knight figures they made early on and how the effort was poured into them to make them accurate, they very much felt like DC Direct/Collectibles figures or the passing of the torch so to speak. Maybe they were going to make more changes, started with the boots, then got told to stop or ran out of budget(?) Still he looks great and I'll be painting the lenses of the batnoculars for sure. A nice orange or red perhaps.
It's crazy how much of an upgrade this is compared to the original release. The head sculpt is so much better, the cloth cape and the grey color vs the green, make this potentially my favorite McFarlane figure. I had zero interest in the original, but will definitely be picking this up.
I very much want to pick up this figure since I love the source material so much. Someday I hope it'll be made into an animated movie. A Merry Early Christmas for this figure! Thanks for the review!
Yeah, I don't like the coloring on either, and that has probably been what has kept me from picking them up. Whether it's meant to capture the coloring of Lee Bermejo's artwork or it's meant to make the suit look dirty, I'm not a fan of it either.
This is a fantastic mcfarlane style thigh “cut.” It doesnt need to move anymore than that. Real thigh cuts are the most unrealistic joint you can add. Baking in some constraints is how all figures should handle. Mcfarlane does it this way for that very reason. I know there’s a small hand full of figures that have a more traditional cut and Ive never understood why. Im sure there’s a story there. Ive heard there’s a platinum and I think a blue/grey platinum of the spawn 2pk Batman with a yellow oval is in the case too. I saw it in a Short someone made. Both at Target.
@@petarpetrovic-ix3sb 9:07 shows an interchangeable hand but I’m not sure if that comes with this figure, I’m in a rush and unfortunately had to skip around the vid
Was the upper torso on the new one printed to be bigger than last time? Looks like it's bigger and/or deeper for the lower torso so he'll have more of an ab crunch
Batman Noel's story and artwork are great, but the figure has an incorrect design base to the source material which is a pity. I will skip this one. Great review as always man!
Dude, you're just a hater. I have found things I would never think I would find at a ross it doesn't make them any less quality by sitting there? If your collection revolves around ross figures, then it must suckkkk
I know that McFarlane has made more Batman’s than we could count, but this Batman is by far a stand out. It looks amazing
Agreed. I want the chase blue version
@ I’m a die hard black and gray Batman but the blue and gray version looks amazing

This is easily among the best mcfartlane batmen they've produced. The cloth cape makes it pure excellence 🦇❤️👍
Great review Brad. I never was into cloth goods. Now I can’t get enough of these cloth good capes.

I feel like if you left the dirt effect and just added a blackwash it could really be something special
I love Lee Bermejo’s take on Batman. It’s very realistic and obviously inspired The Batman.
Lee Bermejo is a legend.
This looks really good, also the Platinum edition in blue.

Great review, what a top figure, in my opinion the best McFarlane Batman fabric cape so far, one of the best Batman of the year.
Good review!
It's very helpful.
I'd like the platinum edition if possible, but if I can't find it, the normal version would be fine.
Thanks!
Hey Brad, we need an updated tour of your current collection 😀
It’s astonishing that with all the Batman he releases even when he makes one for a specific comic it’s still incorrect
It technically isn't incorrect. It's just named wrong. This suit is seen later in the Bermejo run in stories such as Dear Detective
Going to remove the brownish color as well lol.
Thanks for the comparison to the original i was wondering how they would differ 👍🏻

Wow I’m early, excited for this one
Wait, wait, he has molded binoculars in his hand? And no interchangeable hand?😳

My Action Figure guy here in NL said McF is being vague about the delivery. Could be I get the black one, could be the blue. We'll see.
Looks good. What about size, is it smaller than the Hush Batman?

Between the cape and colors, this is such a monumental improvement over the Page Puncher.
the blue version is better
Who is the marketing genius who decided to put out a Batman Noel figure a week AFTER Christmas??
The articulation here sucks if you can't get him into dynamic poses. I don't think Mcfarlane will ever change his mind on that sadly.
Gonna take a pass on this one. I like the Page Puncher's enough.
Batman Noel's story and artwork are great, but the figure has an incorrect design base to the source material which is a pity. I will skip this one.

it will go to Ross or Burlington one day, I promise. And that is the moment it worth its quality.

I’ve always hated call of duty Batman. This is definition of over designed.
