Hi mate - was a bit worried there at the beginning - thinking I should recommend a tune to you by one of my favourite Blues singers, Howlin' Wolf - the song Moanin' at Midnight. Check out the tune, it's a belter - maybe you already know it anyway, it's very Essex Delta? However - great Vlog, really enjoyed it. Particularly chuffed that you correctly identified one of the teams I'd lent to the 3 Counter Attack guys (who had never played Subbuteo before that day) as a 'Zombie' team - that's what I call them with the black or back/white bases, gloss black all over paintjob and glowing green hair. The concept came from the computer/video game Lemmings - for obvious reasons, they have tendency to go 'over the edge' - and they break as well, for some reason that plastic has become very brittle over time. But I digress - you really captured the atmosphere of the event beautifully, I'm wishing now I'd had time to do Alan Crampton's skills challenge - maybe next time - a great cause and looked like great fun. I didn't really even have the time or energy to shop. You picked up some lovely items there - nice one - my first ever set was 73/74 and the set is long gone/destroyed but I still have the original catalogue which I love, just like the one you bought. All the best and see you in Rayleigh at the next RAS meet.
What a pity Stuart mistook TFM's stance on TH-cam's forced advertising as "moaning" and being "really arrogant"... I thought they explained it quite graciously.
I think TFM issue is they can't control what is advertised. I may be wrong. They have concerns about products they don't ethically agree with? Like you I'm disappointed. I liked their content. Chances are the adverts would be for their audience. Otherwise what's the point.
The ads are cookie based so based upon what you searched and viewed online, same as all the others cheeky adverts we on social media. Alexa and siri are always listening
