    I have looked at dozens of sources for ideas of what to include with the form and this was very helpful... I learned even more. Thanks for sharing. Food luck in your journey.
    PS: My case is a little different, as I am sponsoring my wife, we have been married for 7 years and have two children together. I do not foresee any issue, but you never know, right, so I am making sure that I include enough information that any intelligent person would come to the conclusion that our marriage and life together are real. Thank you, again.

    This is super helpful but also makes me anxious. We don't have much photo evidence because we don't like taking pictures. btw, I found that the friend and family affidavit of relationship doesn't have to come from U.S. citizens.

    I'm glad I found your videos. Wished I had seen your channel when I was starting my process. Now I'm just waiting for the interview date. It's been a long process. You have a lot of good advice. Probably the best I've seen in detailing the steps and process. I went thru lots of TH-cam videos trying to help me compile my documents and prove a bonafide marriage. Was hard, because we live countries apart and had nothing that was joint. After going thru it, it wasn't as complicated. Just need to be prepared, organized, and a step ahead of the process.

      Can i ask you what you used to prove your marriage?

    • @nnmek7173
      @nnmek7173 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@blackwaltz3135 I used my WhatsApp call logs and chats with my husband, his family, and friends. My husband and I chat and talk daily. I did a screen shot of the call logs for one month. Picked a recent month close to my filing date of the i130. For the chats I did a flow of different dates to show how the relationship progressed from friendship to relationship to marriage. Few pages here and there of the chats. I also included chats with his family. I wrote a summary of our relationship giving details about myself and how it lead to our marriage. This was my first marriage and I never thought I would ever get married. Somehow things changed when I met my husband. I included pictures of when I went to see him, things we did, our marriage, and pics with his family. On the back of the picture, I wrote what was going on in the picture. We don't have any joint accounts due to distance. After marriage I listed my spouse in my 401K. My i130 got approved without any additional requests and was forwarded to NVC. I had spent a lot of time questioning how I can prove a bonafide marriage. Watched a lot of videos. Hope this helps.

    USCIS is problems, problems, problems!!!! We are a gay couple and married a year ago and living together most of the time in Colombia. My spouse is not out to his family and afraid to tell them. So, they were not invited to our wedding....only a few of my spouses friends attended. No invitations used, or necessary for our wedding. We do have a large age gap 42 years, which I am sure USCIS will question along with the fact that he is Colombian. I have decided if we are denied a CR1 in the future, that we will live together in another country, Spain, Uruguay, ect are options. I will not let USCIS cause me and my spouse to separate....we love each other too much.

      oh John, im so sorry to hear that. Have you tried direct consular filing through the columbian embassy? especially if for the time being you are mostly living abroad there, but can prove domicile (a US address that you'll move to once both of you are here) then that might be the better faster route. almost always the DCF is faster. Because you are right, it gets expensive. The company I use is $20/page

      hi Pierre! thanks for being here. Not totally sure I understand your question - regardless of children or not, couples can file for the spousal visa. Then it becomes a matter of whether or not your kids are young enough (under 18) for the US citizen/LPR to sponsor them too

We also have screen shot chats on whatsapp, money transactions sent to me and only one letter he sent to me since he is in the military. Will these evidence be enough? Question! So the affidavit of support. They have to be US citizens? Because it doesn’t say anything on the I-130 form. For example, I was born and raised in the US, but my husband is from Mexico. My husband sister (my sister in law) can’t write me a affidavit?

    • @DeviOhira
      @DeviOhira  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Karla! it's a great question - the reason I went with and advise US citizens is because there's a way for the US to easily vet who is an actual person, if you're providing ID info like a passport number. I think when it comes to other countries, the ID process can be a little bit harder, but with that being said, I wouldn't rule it out entirely. Just make sure that when your sister in law writes it, she also puts as much identification info in the signature of it so if USCIS needs to run a background report to check that this an actual person, they might be able to do so
