The Lake Faerie was probably always Excalibur (aside of LB6 which Castoria became Excalibur because Morgan rebelled against her purpose). Considering the nature of how fae are born, Vivian/Morgan in PHH are probably incarnations. That's why the lore dump says that Excalibur has the dual nature of the fae of the lake (Morgan/Vivian) because it is her in a way.
