I live in Canada, I agree it's really neat I can watch recent videos of places and countries where my ancestors were and had probably driven on some of these roads.

The clock tower is now called Queen Elizabeth (was St. Steven's) Big Ben is the bell inside the tower

I note these are The North London Suburbs near Hendon/Brent Cross/Golders Green then in town to Kilburn etc...
Average price of a London Home is now £600,000 !....I wished I had kept my Council Flat in a neat 24 Flat Block just 2/3 miles from Central London Southside after moving to The South London/North Kent Sburbs in 1983.
Would have been the best of both worlds. Loved living in Inner and now Outer London since 1954..:)

Of all the UK journey videos this will forever be one of my favourite. Love the blue skies and atmosphere

I drove into London today. From miles out, I caught a glimpse of all the dazzling skyscrapers. I imagined what all the stars and icons who live in the capital would be doing. Madonna was perhaps drinking fine wine in one of London's finest restaurants, Simon Cowell may have been talking business on his mobile phone while gazing across the Thames and the Queen was probably squatting over the karsi having a big old shit.

Looks like Park Lane and Hyde Park Corner towards the end. Back in 1980 I used to have driving lessons there and there were NO traffic restrictions or lights so "every man for himself". Same for the OLD Trafalgar Square so after that the rest of London and beyond in The UK became relatively easy...

Great video I enjoyed watching. One thing - although it is inside the M25 Watford is NOT a London suburb it is in Hertfordshire :)

That "36" Bus used to go to my Grammar School by Kennington Oval Cricket Ground in South-East London where I attended from 1965=1971. I would not dream of driving near Central London during the working week and even on Sundays now the Council Anti-Motorist Nazis have put in so many 24 hour bus lanes that driving there and being stuck in the second lane with bumper to bumper traffic isn't much fun. Lve on the edge and "use" London which IS fantastic and vibrant and varied.
