@@ReligiousZealot I'd bet they'd get in between the Glock 20 and g40 stock velocities. The sig has tighter lock up and slightly longer barrel. So you should be getting about box velocity for 739 ft lbs. Just my guess based on experience.

Multiple factors, but mainly that 10mm is a wider cartridge, and thus can utilize more gun powder. 5.7 x 28mm might be longer, but that doesn't mean shorter cartridges won't be faster than it. Especially with the most Civil Defense 60 grain loads that can reach up to 2,400 FPS!

Still need an accuracy test beyond 40 yards. Find the barrel that will let you hit a 10 inch plate at 75 yards consistently and hunt with that one barrel.
50 years ago when compound bows were just coming out, the old time bow hunters didn't like the accuracy, used to remind us that it didn't matter how fast an arrow flew by the target, a miss was a miss. Keep us informed.

those are my fav bullets to load. If you want to see something real crazy, try some 90gr out of a 350L going over 3000fps. I've seen them cut ballistic gel in 4 length wise pieces. I never thought that possible. ended up with the 10mm 100gr cause the only other bullets I could get at the time were fmj-fp. They'll do half again as much damage (if not more) as any other bullets, every time...
There is another really interesting one from Lehigh. The 85gn Xtreme Cavitator in 30cal. Loaded it in 308win- should get 3450 out of my 16 inch MDRX. Will try it as well in the 30-06, should be at 3650 out of my 20 inch. If you get your hands on those, would love to see a test

It would seem like from the time the firing pin comes into contact with the primer then, the powder being ignited would be along the lines of making more sense but, barrel lock up? 🤔 Nah !!!!
@Lift_these okay well you can't teach some people... guess you should reflect on whether or not you're that person. My glock 29 and the XDM 3.8" have the same barrel length. The xdm has tighter lock up, gets 25 to 40 fps more depending on load. I've proven this on the channel. You can go on being ignorant if you wish

The hardcast is superior. However the 140gr xtreme penetrators are more even matched, I've got a comparison video.

Either these 100gr Xtreme Defenders, or 180gr XTP loaded by hornady or Underwood. I plan on doing a gel test on this exact subject in a few months

Nope got a hot 6.5x284 load with pork on here. Gel is too expensive to ship up hereand kind of pointkess when animals are easy denser than gel
