    Who’s here after the Queens funeral?

  • @robjustaguy
    @robjustaguy 2 ปีที่แล้ว +26

    ’d never heard it before, but, the very… sombre melody along with the rhythmic beat of the drums, the gentle speed, and how the music seemed to be part of the performance or Marching, Marching with great honour. I can think of a hundred songs that could have been sung at that point, but not one would have been right, or more fitting than this piece played so well and professionally.
    It took me on a journey, and framed my mind that Her Late Majesty was making a journey, not just to the Abbey, but also a journey of her soul.
    How one piece of music can give you so many levels of meaning, feeling and of thought… Music is one of the greatest things on earth that we take for granted.
    We watched as they played, we felt as they played and we mourned as they played. We also have thanks, thanks to her, for her life of service, but thanks to God, for granting us the blessing that was HM Queen Elizabeth.

    Such powerful, moving scenes seeing and hearing the Queen’s funeral procession open with this haunting, driving piece of music as the Royal Navy ratings moved her from Westminster Hall, charged to the beat of those rolling drums.
    …and played exactly as it was 20 years before at the beginning of her mothers funeral.

    Hello, absolutely LOVE this video! I have a question, we have song on an upcoming album that features the bagpipes. (because lets face it, there are not nearly enough bagpipes in modern popular music) :D Would it be possible to get permission to use a couple of clips from this for our lyric video? (maybe 30-60 seconds total) I would be happy to provide a link to the song so you could pre-approve? Thank you for considering! (and no worries either way, this is just some insanely cool footage!)
