My dad was military and we grew up overseas, my teen years were in Spain (I was 13 to 17). They often end a question with “no” but it’s to answer yes, right, or correct. So, like someone might say to me, “your dad is Rick, no?” The answer is yes. 35 years later and we still do that.
Ismo is fluent in English, and understands it very well. He's often just quite literal about it, and his accent (or lack of it) sounds funny - because he's not a native English speaker :) But the point is, there's a bit of Andy Kaufman in his stage persona :) Not much, but just a a bit :)
Hi Daz. Ex pat living in Finland for the last 11yrs!! What made you learn Finnish? Some say English is the most difficult but Finnish is something else!!
Norwegian has got some 75 different accents makes it harder. Swedish and Danish has got only about 8 main accents easier but still Danish is harder I guess.
No eipä kummempia, kiitos kysymästä 👍 Kyllä se tässä mennee ku saa työkiireet hoijettua, näin murteella kirjotettuna tämä kerrottuna. Mutta hyvvää syksyn jatkoa sinne sullekki 👍
His comedy is often about words and wordplay in Finnish also.
I love Ismo! Thank you for showing! 😂😅

Bill Burr also has a good standup on "No means no"
Watched it. Totally different approach. He gave me bad vibes.
