With a 60 Series, there should be 2 - 30A fuses in the battery box. Each one is power for 3 cylinders. If one blows it will only run on 3 cylinders, if they both go it won’t fire at all.
SMOKEY' looking better all the time , Interior Panels and Lights are 👍👍🔥🔥👍👍🔥🔥, Keep at'er Mike And the 35Niner , Happy New Year to you , Angela and your Dad, Safe Travels 👍👍👍👍
Hi Mike, I don't know how much this holds true but i have a 1981 K100 Aerodyne and i read somewhere that Kenworth's , at least the early ones were positive ground. Actually i think i heard it on James Pretty's channel
I don't think they were positive ground, but the dash switches just grounded the circuit. So some kw switches just have one post and the switch grounds to the dash pannel.
It's looking good brother keep on going have you heard anything about the engine yet can't wait to see it up and running again going to be a nice truck and I like the watermelon lights to I have mine done that same way to you keep making videos and I'll keep watching
Hi Mike, when you were doing the centre clearance light that window rubber doesn’t look like it’s fitting right. It looks like there’s a gap between the glass and the rubber and the lacing is kind of wonky looking too. Was that the rubber that was too big/small compared to the other one? Kenworth still sells aerocabs …they may have the proper size rubber even if it’s in a bulk roll. Your bodyshop at Peterbilt probably has some too.
Mike, I've tried a lot of different products to make plastic trim look good again. Most were disappointing, but I tried the Meguiar's about 7 or 8 years ago, and I've been using it ever since because it works really good. Using it on black plastic exterior trim pieces they stay nice looking for a long time, even in the sun, and after numerous car washes, so it should last a really long time on interior pieces.
Great job, Mike man.Everything looks awesome. But the red interior and the light.S wow, wow, you did awesome job, buddy. Can't wait to see Her done You gonna look bad ass buddy great job
After being in the RV business for over 35 years the rule of thumb is if your wires are red and black the black is negative and if your wires are white and black the black is positive. Coming along Mike.
Why is white ground and black hot?....China... I always check what is hot and who is ground before install, and I have found it reversed on other parts, keeps things interesting. Mike try using wrinkle paint that's what I used.
White is ground on the trucks your not the first guy to make that mistake if your not sure use test light to check for power check and clean all grounds that where most of your problems are good luck and have fun .
I've been in the same position and had too many projects going and it used to result in nothing being finished So listen to good advice, keep Smokey and 1 more that can be driven, sell the rest, finish Smokey for that money and when it's finished, buy 1, not two or three, but just 1 new project, this way you don't need a bigger garage
Smokeys interior looks awesome!!
Amazing workshop you have there👍
Smoky is like a rising Phoenix.
Can't wait to share the next video with the whole interior in minus seats
get after it mike
Thanks James. Fyi the lock cylinders went in the mail today.
@ thx Mike
Happy belated new year!!

you should try a ozone machine in those old trucks for the air
That's a good idea

Yeah these were white positive black negative
Just a little tip for plastic trim you can use peanut oil /butter
Ohhh thanks for the tip
Looking more and more like a bordello everyday
Mike.
Why don’t you just cover them both w tarps until your shop is built while you’re not working on them once you get moved?
I would have washed the truck around the windows before you finished putting up the nice interior
Yes that would have been smart
Miike I don't want to see your Dad leave the show
I always like learning from your Dad
Yeah he'll always be around

I should have checked first 🤦♂️
@@mikethetrucknut wrinkle helps hide imperfections but the plastic stuff ya got looks great, gotta get some myself.

It was backwards the marker light grounds were black white positive.
😎👍
Really coming together. What colour for the seat covers if you use some?
Black with red trim
Does that truck 🚚 have any smell of smoke still or no?
It's pretty much non existent now
Is that Kenny sitting outside there at your old shop the one that has Smokey in it
Nope that's Kenny 2
Check the fuse
maybe ground kable ?

10 4 solid advice right there
Smoker truck clean with hand sanitizer before takes tar of first 🙈🍀
Hmm... does that work hand sanitizer? I'll have to try it. It was definitely a smoker truck LOL 😆
mike just put some wide glides in
Repaint the Plastic or wrap it, if your not happy with the rejouvant stuff from CTC
Don't you wonder how the people he works with think of his work?
He has the same players he wasn't winning with at Kentucky..... Why expect anything better if he has his own players that lost at Kentucky?
