Maybe so, but they're especially bad in states that indulge that kind of behavior and refuse to enforce the law, encouraging more homeless encampments, drug use and crime.

Spot on. I grew up in Anaconda, MT and escaped to Bozeman for a long time before leaving altogether. Montana is a wonderful place to visit and to film movies & TV shows, but it has a huge downside. I remember rampant alcoholism, drug abuse, violence, and a lack of the simple basics of life. You can easily tell who the locals are in a place like Bozeman. They are the ones who have a full time job and maybe two other part-time gigs just to get by, and they can't possibly afford to go skiing at Big Sky. You want to talk about homelessness? Last Chance Gulch in Helena turns into skid row during the summer, and bums will urinate in doorways and pass out on the sidewalk so that the shoppers have to step right over them. There isn't a third world country more dismal than Browning, MT and please don't ever go driving on Friday nights because of the drunk drivers on the road.

    • @montanawarren8462

Well beings how Browning is the seat of the Blackfoot Reservation & two Secretary of the Interiors have been indicted because they can't find the trust fund to the Blackfeet Nation and the government owes them $137 million dollars.... I can see why

    Very Informative.
I did move to Missoula in 2012.
    Started Nursing School.
Worked part time for health care company.
Everything was like 15 years behind in everything.
My apartment was furnished with 30 year old furniture and bed! Kitchen and bath were very clean.
I researched and read as much as I could in 2012, but there were not TH-cam videos like yours!
Talk about forest fire smoke! You are advised to NOT go outside!
I quickly got a sinus infection, because of attending class I had to get out!
The real eye opener: going to clients home to help them with their disabilities. These clients didn’t have a roll of toilet paper, filthy kitchen towels, poor poor quality of clothes, no cleaning products!
I had to keep a bag in my vehicle of toilet paper, kitchen dish rags and clean sponges, paper towels.
If they lived in apartments: they didn’t have quarters to wash their clothes and bedding!
It was every client I had!
I moved back to my home state after 1 semester of school.
Just too expensive to buy minimal groceries, gasoline, everything!
I went to McDonald’s maybe 4 times. Never a restaurant!
Beautiful scenery and vistas but that’s it.

    From Montana:
Driving- I am permanently injured by a 94 year old blind woman driving. Not alcohol.
Drugs- disclosure: As a teen I was drugged most days. Due to divorce and distance within my family. It helped.
Homelessness - wasn't a problem before Californication raising housing prices, raising property taxes to the point REAL Montanans can't live there anymore. I now live in South America, in a town like Bozeman was 100 years ago. Growing up in Bozeman my neighbor had a basement apartment that was $200 a month. Today it's around $1,500.
Suicide - I have struggled with suicidal thoughts all my life. Family issues, religious expectations, isolation and lack of sunlight exposure all contribute.

If you are rich, I mean young AND rich, you can make Montana a play ground with endless parties. Everybody has a 4WD Suburban or pickup truck to drive anywhere they want. Bozeman is full of obese people that are on the go all the time. They drive Subarus with 2 or three kids. God knows what they do for money, 'cuz jobs don't pay much. Try working at Walmart.

I agree that drugs can be a problem, but I am witness to prohibitionist policies destroying millions of innocent lives, to control a substance that did virtually no harm, e.g. the case of cannabis. Drunken driving should be severely punished, as it is in the UK (a year in prison, mandatory, first offense). People rarely drive drunk in the UK. Other drugs are only rarely a public safety problem, except to users. Prohibition has never worked.

HEY, I WANT TO LEAVE A MESSAGE TO THE GUY IN THIS VIDEO! ( IM USING CAPITALS TO HIGHLIGHT MY WORDS AND MESSAGE, NOT TO "YELL" ) I JUST FOUND YOUR VIDEO HERE AND WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED THAT YOU MADE A VIDEO TELLING THE OTHER SIDE OF THE REALITIES TO MONTANA FOR PEOPLE LIKE MYSELF WHO ARE CONSIDERING MOVING THERE. REALITY IS REALITY. EVERYTHING YOU POINTED OUT IS HAPPENING IN EVERY STATE TO SOME DEGREE ALL OVER AMERICA! LETS FACE IT AMERICA ( AND THE REST OF THE WORLD ) SUCKS! BUT! THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT IS CAN ALL BE CORRECTED MORE THAN NOT, IF AND ONLY IF, GOOD PEOPLE LIKE YOURSELF ( AND I DONT KNOW YOU, BUT GOING BY THE LOOK IN YOUR EYES, AND YOUR VIBE AND WORDS AND VIDEO PRODUCTION ) I THINK YOU ARE PROBABLY A REAL GOOD GUY AND THAT YOU SINCERELY CARE ABOUT WHERE YOU LIVE AND THE PEOPLE YOU SHARE MONTANA WITH. SO LET ME TELL YOU SOME THINGS. 1- THE GOVERNOR OF EACH STATE HAS THE CONSTITUTIONAL POWER TO SINGLE HANDEDLY CORRECT ALL OF THESE PROBLEMS! IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MAYORS OR THE CITY COUNCILS OR MEMBERS OF CONGRESS, ITS ALL ON THE GOVERNORS! I CAN THINK OF SEVERAL THINGS THAT CAN BE DONE IMMEDIATELY IN ALL STATES, BUT MONTANA TOO, TO STOP EVERYTHING YOU MENTIONED! THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH JOBS, AND OPPORTUNITIES THROUGHOUT MONTANA! BILLINGS IS THE LARGEST POPULATION AND THAT IS WHERE MOST OF THE MONEY IS IN ALL OF MONTANA! NOT GOOD! THERE NEEDS TO BE MORE SMALL BUISSNESS, AND FOR THAT THERE WILL NEED TO BE BANK LOANS FINANCED BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND THE STATE GOVERNMENT. THERE NEEDS TO BE A REFOCUS FROM DRUG USERS AND DEALERS TO THE SUPPLIERS AND MANUFACTURERS, I AM CERTAIN THE GOVERNMENT CAN FIND BOTH! IF THEY REALLY WANTED TO! THE TRUTH IS, THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE MAKING MONEY FROM THIS DRUG PANDEMIC! ALL OVER AMERICA! SO TO START IOSLATING THE PROBLEMS IN EACH STATE, THERE NEEDS TO BE SPECIFIC ACTIONS TAKEN. THE COSTS OF LIVING NEED TO BE LOWERED, AND THAT IS ALSO IN THE HANDS OF THE GOVERNOR OF MONTANA! HE OR SHE CAN TALK WITH ALL THE LAND OWNERS WHO RENT AND GET THEM TO LOWER THEIR RENTS SO EVERYONE CAN AFFORD A PLACE TO LIVE! THERE ARE TAX EXCEPTIONS AND OTHER INCENTIVES THAT CAN BE OFFERED TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN! THERE ALSO NEEDS TO BE A STATE MARKETING CAMPAIGN TO ATTRACT PEOPLE AND FAMILIES FROM ALL THE OVER POPULATED STATES THROUGH OUT AMERICA TO MOVE TO MONTANA! MORE PEOPLE WOULD MEAN MORE HOUSING, MORE BUISSNESS BEING CREATED, WITH THE START UP LOANS FROM THE BANKS, SMALL BUISSNESSES CAN BEGIN TO OPEN ALL OVER THE STATE. THE EAST SIDE OF MONTANA IS PERFECT FOR FARMING! THERE NEEDS TO BE MORE VARIETY OF CROPS GROWN TO INCREASE THEIR SALES AND PROFITS! WHICH WILL BENEFIT THE WHOLE STATE! THERE ALSO NEEDS TO BE FREE HIGH QUALITY DRUG AND ALCOHOL TREATMENT PLACES THROUGHOUT THE STATE TO HELP STOP THAT PROBLEM! WHO WILL PAY FOR IT? THE STATE! WHERE WILL THE GOVERNOR GET THE MONEY? FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND THE PRIVATE RICH POPULATION OF THE STATE! OK YOU GET THE IDEAS! NOW HERE IS WHERE I SUGGEST YOU! YES YOU ( THE GUY IN THIS VIDEO ) SERIOUSLY SIT DOWN WITH YOUR WIFE ( I NOTICED YOUR WEDDING BAND ) AND DISCUSS YOU RUNNING FOR GOVERNOR OF MONTANA!!!!!!! : ) ALL THE STATES IN AMERICA NEED GOVERNORS WHO ARE REAL PEOPLE , NOT POLITICIANS, WHO ARE NOT BEING BOUGHT OR CORRUPTED BY THE RICH, AND WHO REALLY HONESTLY CARE ABOUT THEIR STATE AND THE PEOPLE WHO LIVE THERE, AND WHO, WANT TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT! ITS REALLY THAT SIMPLE. THERE ARE A LOT OF THINGS WRONG EVERYWHERE. BUT WE NEED PEOPLE TO START MAKING THINGS RIGHT! AND WE CAN ALL DO THAT TO SOME DEGREE EVERYWHERE.. BUT EACH STATE NEEDS A LEADER FOR THEIR STATE GOVERNMENT TO PROVIDE THE SECURITY AND STABILITY AND FUNCTIONALITY OF THAT STATES SOCIAL STRUCTURES! SO PEOPLE CAN GO ABOUT THEIR LIVES AND LIVE IN A HIGH QUALITY AND HEALTHY, SAFE PEACEFUL ENVIORMENT WITH OPPORTUNITIES FOR EVERYONE TO PURSUE THEIR DREAMS AND HAPPINESS! THEN NO ONE WILL HAVE TIME TO BE DEPRESSED AND TURNING TO DRUGS OR ALCOHOL! THINK ABOUT IT.. IF YOU WANT TO TALK MORE WITH ME? GET IN TOUCH!

Here in Kalispell even judges and police have drinking problems and there's no accountability for it. You also didn't mention the lack of diversity and obvious discrimination or the fact that a significant amount of the homeless here are locals who have been residents ten or more years and NOT people who moved here to be homeless on purpose in -30° winters just to use your programs as people around here are saying.
You also might talk about how much long term locals resent people moving here. If you want to move here, you will be made to feel very unwelcome.

There is a lot of land in Montana. Why not provide lots for campers, free or at nominal charge, equipped with restrooms, etc., to get them off the street? The government could do that at very low cost.

      @randallvoth8810 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

First, the government can't do anything at a low cost. Second, a good portion of those people in campers have jobs in town. They would need some form of transportation assistance. Third, good luck finding an area where the people living in the area would be on board with the idea.
The reason this is happening is partially due to Airbnb taking over the majority of rentals in town. That and developers can make more money on McMansion ranchettes than affordable housing for the general population.

@@randallvoth8810 The government does MANY things at low cost, it’s just that you are, apparently, unaware of them. Obamacare is one, Medicare is another, our infrastructure is another, including our streets, bridges and highways, and our water supplies and sewage systems are others. Virtually every single thing people do as groups, i.e. as a society, under the government, comes in MUCH CHEAPER than the commercial alternative would ever be! What do you want, FREE? It’s the economy of scale, and nothing does scale like the government. Nothing is free, but that which we do as a society costs LESS than any other alternative.

House prices are high due to taxes are high on real estate. That is why we raised our large family in Spokane. But we still have the ranch I grew up on outside of Lewistown. Now Billionaires are moving in there to buy ranches. Plus there are not enough homes in Lewistown so rents are sky high etc
