Ziad Rahbani is her son, who wrote words and music of this song, you should check him out, he’s Lebanese icon, the very 1st song he wrote the words & song for his mom Fairouz called sa-alouny el Nass, have a listen if you wish
So most if not all of Fairouz's songs were composed by her late husband and then as far as I know only one of her sons kept the legacy going even in some concerts he would accompany her on the piano
Also Felemon Wehbe did some brilliant songs for Fairouz .. and a Syrian composer called Mohamed Mohsen did couple of songs such as’ Asfourat Alshajan ‘
Cool! You should react to Abdulrahman Muhammed singing When We Met! Its a thousands year old famous Arab tragic love poem put to a melody and it’s beautiful
"Ya Hala Ya Habibi" is a gorgeous track by her. If you are interested in World music reactions try, Omar Khorshid , Mahlathini & The Mahotella Queens, The Four Brothers, The Lulu's Band, Kanda Bongo Man, Diblo Dibala. There's so many I could name. Another female Arabic singer I like is Shiraz, maybe try Rosa Eskenazi too. If you want some punkier alternative music suggestions I have plenty of those too, as you enjoy translation you should try Welsh language band Datblygu, possibly my favourite band ever.
Wild channel. I see you do Farid el Atrache. Rachid Taha, Erkan Koray, Lalalar, Abdel Halim Hafez, Ziad Rahbani, just wild. So apologies in advance for any you've covered, some Polish language bands, Kult (see also Kazik, Kazik na Zywo,), The Pau, Siekira - "Nowy Aleksandria", Lao Che, Stregesti, O.N.A. Best regards.
@@drsameh5944 Rahbany brothers never said that, and their achievements in music were way more important than Sayed who had limited songs compared to the hundreds of songs and musical plays that they composed.
@@raymollyraymolly722As a Saudi, I agree that Lebanese singers are much more influential and appreciated by the people. Every great memory I have with my family is accompanied by Lebanese music in the background.
One of the best of fayrouz❤
Fairuz will always be the voice of Lebanon. No one in history or in the future could replace her.
