Just my honest take. I know dudes are gonna call me trash missing open floaters on pro 😂 but I’m just giving my take that they seem harder to hit than last year, and by a lot. Did you try out any other floaters for big man? I used sabonis a lot last year and all the attempts you took in this video seem to be way closer than I attempted in 2k24. Many times I was able to take 1 step forward from the 3 point line and hit a 20'0 floater. You had 1 animation that looked fine with him and it was farther away than the rest
On 24 I realized height affects how far you can trigger lay ups and dunks from would you say that could be the reason for the unexpected jumper when attempting a floater?
@kennethaguilar7595 sometimes you do a pull up jumper if the layup package you have equipped doesn't have a long range. Each package can be different. The times he messed up here was just because he wasn't moving towards the basket for the most part
With how easy 3 pointers are to green, I think layups should stay over powered. It’s the most basic nba shot that good finishers hit 60% of the time compared to 3 point shooters hitting 36-40%. Last year was the first year layups actually felt like a weapon and play style and not just using acrobat cheese, but actually timing them against heavy contest.

So your thing is that it does different floater animations and not the same cheesy one every time? That's more realistic is my opinion. All of those floaters looked nice to me. Plus there's no Pro Touch. You have to know when to throw up a floater anyway.
its a game though. animations shouldnt trigger randomly
@@BigChillehait’s not random. It’s based on your angle to the basket, which hand the ball is in, how fast you’re moving, and where you start your shot. That’s not random. That’s skill. Cry because you can’t spam the same thing over and over.
Does anyone know why slithery finisher is gone ? It was quite literally the best/important finishing badge in the game for years i honestly think without it the finishing is going to be really inconsistent.
It was time for slithery to get extinguished, bails out too many players when good D is being played
It's just mixed in to another badge now
@@mothamaster3000 what badge? I haven’t seen anything on twitter about it
They made it into takeovers. Theres take overs now to get easier drives to the rim
sabonis looks a lil small here
He’s 6’10” so…
Floaters needed a massive nerf especially booker. Floaters are rarely seen in the NBA because its the lowest efficiency shot in the entire sport. Acrobat layups are another conversation those were just broken and shouldve required more difficult timing not no timing at all
That’s not true at all. Floaters are still used plenty and can name several players that use them.
You don't watch basketball at all. "Rarely used"!? Literally ALL the best guards in the league are elite float specialists. Curry, harden, fox, trae, garland, etc.
@@nahBTdifferent Jokic even does them
@@nahBTdifferent floaters accounted for fewer than 8% of all shots in the nba in the 2020 season. A shot that occurs less than 10% of occasions is a rare shot and is factually the worst efficiency shot in the nba due to it being the lowest make% 2 point shot but go on bro. You obv didn’t play 2k bc people are running in the paint shooting floaters on the entire team and their uncontested every time. I didn’t say it’s a bad shot IRL (I actually think it’s useful for guards especially) but it being completely unguardable while simultaneously being an automatic green every time with booker layup package is horrendously unrealistic
@@TideV2 bro don’t watch ball 😭
You doing it too close to the rim gang
You have to be that close on small guards now. It’s unrealistic cause curry can throw up any kind of floater and it’ll go in but in 2k we gotta be 3 ft away 🤦♂️

Mannnnn this new meter looks AWFUL
You messed up with multiple things in this test. Come on man how are you fr rn. Didnt test half the layup styles only tested floaters. Didnt even test different timing styles.

Mfs same the same shit every year 😂 they just want locks and post scoring to be the best things in 2k when that’s not at all it acting like guards today don’t pull off crazy ass lays regularly crazy shots and dribble all day but that’s not “realistic” but a lock getting 9 steals in the first quarter is
That’s my biggest thing. Real basketball doesn’t see people typically getting more than 3-4 blocks or steals in an entire game. But these guys want a steal every possession they play defense. That’s unrealistic. Especially now bump steals don’t use adrenaline so locks are primed for a super toxic year
@@lebronjamesfromdwade4103 exactly talking about the layups weren’t realistic like KAI don’t do crazy ass layups a few times every game truth is if the game was truly realistic these “locks” wouldn’t matter cause in real life even the best defenders don’t even get more than maybe 3 a game and they damn sure almost are never on ball steals it’s passing lanes
Good that lay up meta was trash
Layups was not the meta lol 90% of people had builds with dunk on their builds and mostly dunked more than they did layups

I’m so glad they nerf floaters I got tired of ppl abusing that crap 😂 2k 25 off to a great start so far 🎉🎉🎉🎉
How Is Everybody Playing 2K25 Wtf?
