They need to buff contact dunks. They trigger rarely (and always the same 3-4 animations) and 50% of the time, i get very early even i’m sure i didn’t mistime it. They’re broken
They definitely did something to the consistency of dunks with the Season 2 patch. I got taken out of dunks quite a bit in Season 1 but never during dunk attempts that are basically a given. Now I'll even get forced into a layup when attempting the dunk meter with a defender behind me not even close enough to hold me
Getting taken out of dunks where the defender is on your hip and they can just glitch infront and get a block. I have a 6’6 max wingspan with 93 and have even been taken out of dunks by 6’5’s that were behind me with low interior and block
Right stick dunking is totally broken and non-responsive on-line. 2k really needs to revert back or tweak that. It's like your being force to lay up or shoot 3s, Randoms already play weird as it is. Players who are above average are being penalized because they are good at doing it all. No slasher, slasher build should be taken out animations completely, where the ball just drops out your hands. Your triggered and geared up to dunk and out of blue helps comes now your laying up and vulnerable to get blocked. 2k stay rewarding non slashing builds but make slashers and well rounded blanced players work hard. Make it make sense😒
Yea they really ruined dunking. I have a 93 dunk and i got 6’2 guards brushing me with an arm hair and its taking me out the animation. Im really not having fun playing the game rn because of it smh

i feel like 2k shafted russ. the trigger distance for his tomahawks is relatively short unfortunately (free throw line ish?) and if you try to meter with it youll get athletic front tomahawks most of the time. lebron has way better takeoff distance overall but gets blocked significantly easier. the problem ive had with using russ is just that i cant even get his tomahawks to trigger most of the time regardless and if i do meter it ends up being a off two.

Do you think Jordan is worth the extra vert investment from 65 for posterizer on a small guard to be able to dunk from the free throw line? Also no thoughts on Malik monk?
everyone complaining about meter dunks but my 6'8 99 dunk build (with cap breakers so the build is still well rounded) doesnt miss a meter dunk if im not getting taken out of the animations and it happens alot less
have you noticed differences on the dunk meter since the patch laker? to me it feels a lot worse but it might just be placebo/skill issue. also i think you cant preload dunk meters anymore.
Def can’t preload meters, but I’m not sure as an overall whole, I felt like meter was pretty bad pre patch too. The 6’10 I’m on is a tough judge cause it’s a whole new build and height ETC
Glad to see I'm not crazy. I've been tryna preload dunk meters and it hasn't been working at all. Like literally a 0% success rate. Very unnecessary change imo. Dunking was good enough for me in Season 1
anything that seems slow or has a very close takeoff / long windup because if someone just runs into you during the windup it will cancel the entire dunk. some of the off two dunks are good for cuts and finishing when youre already close to the basket but you generally wanna try to stay away from off two dunks if you can help it. generally you also want to avoid things animations that cock the ball back far or move it around a lot outside your players frame (back scratchers, windmills) because your myplayer will most definitely slam the ball into anyone trying to chase you down. like laker said tomahawks are good for the half court but not great for fastbreaks. the dunk logic itself is also pretty weird theres a couple dunk packages that will always take priority for some reason for example if you have the lebron package equipped you will almost always do a lebron dunk if you can but thats something you can lab out just check what dunks you get most of the time with the packages you have equipped, if you dont like those animations take off the package (thats why its better to have only a couple of packages equipped and add/remove its easier to keep track of what animation is from what package). like laker said if youre 80 and below driving dunk you just want safe two hand dunks that dont get blocked easily. if you have 90+ you can go for tomahawks and try to boom on people with dunk meter.
@mikeesteves8427 - That's why it's always better to just use the individual packages. I use signature packages for the exclusive dunks but almost all of them have off-two dunks that I'd rather not have equipped.
@@pxppy150 input for hopsteps is down right or down left while driving at the basket and holding turbo. you can also do them by doing double right/left on the right stick while driving or by tapping the shot button. you must be doin one of these

Athletic hangs off one 65 dunk still a insane dunk, especially one animation you jump crazy high dunk animation ive never seen blocked.

Don't use Shaq for a big man. His standing animation cocks it back and gets blocked. It's bad
